For around 20 dollars I expected a little more. The sides were good. Beans had some substance from some meat. The potato salald seemed fresh and the taste of a hard boiled egg was good. I had the ribs from the special. I guess being from Texas that expected beef ribs for the price. The pork ribs I was given were mot spare ribs. I had one bite of meat per rib. It tasted fine I guess. There was some weird yellow sauce on top. Is this Carolina? Yellow mustard sauce? Not a good cut...
One of those little places where you'll want to hug the cook when you are done eating. Authentic home-style southern cooking, with food so good you'll swear they stole your mom.
Traveling from tx to nc and made a quick stop here. the fried chicken was soo good. The liver plate is a healthy portion, fried pork chop fried perfectly and the side order of pancakes had perfect crispy edges while still being moist in the middle. We didn't catch the waitress' name but she was extremely nice and patient. Today is Friday may 25th so whoever you are we appreciated your service and hope the owner takes notice of this review and our experience. Definitely...
