While traveling down from Chicago, Illinois for our Christmas vacation, we were looking for something fun to do with the whole family one evening—and we’re so glad we found Gulf Bowl and Captain's Choice Seafood Restaurant!

We brought both families out for a night of bowling, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The bowling alley was clean, modern, and had a great atmosphere. It was perfect for all ages—from the kids to the adults—and everyone had a blast competing and laughing together. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the whole experience easy and enjoyable.

After bowling, we grabbed dinner at Captain’s Choice Seafood Restaurant inside Gulf Bowl, and the food was fantastic. Fresh seafood, generous portions, and great service. It was the perfect way to wrap up a fun family night during the holidays.

Traveling from Chicago, it was great to find a place that made us feel welcome and gave our families such a memorable experience. If you're visiting the Orange Beach area and looking for family-friendly entertainment plus great seafood, this place is a must-visit.

Waited 5 minutes for the server to cedas. Then instead of getting our drink order she sat down to talk to a table. I went and told the manager that we were still waiting on drinks. She came out in front of me. Talked to the girl in front of me. Very embarrassing and then when she turns around the girl just turns around and keeps talking to the table. So we left. I was about to spend a lot of money at that place. I'm glad I didn't

When I take my staff out we go to Gulf Bowl, that’s it. The food is awesome and the drinks are very reasonable. They are always amazing and take care of us sooooo well!

We typically get one or two of the private lanes depending on how many kids we bring with us and that way we won’t bother anyone else 🤣

The adults have the bar right there and we can order food for everyone and the kids can run into the arcade if they get tired of bowling. It’s a really incredible time.

Very fun laser tag just was very hot!

We had a birthday party here for my 13 year old son and all the kids had a great time! The staff was friendly and very helpful. They setup and clean it up. Thank you! We definitely recommend.

The food was delicious. But my husband said the beer and the food was great. To make a drink the bartender takes a long time to get your drink.. I will try this place again .. the pizza is the bomb that was really good...

We hosted our company Christmas party at Gulf Bowl and it was a BLAST! Everyone had so much fun! Megan did an absolute fantastic job coordinating everything and making all of our requests happen! The facility was clean and festive. The team that served us were very pleasant and efficient. The food was great. We definitely look forward to hosting another event here in the future!

In the VIP area, we celebrated my son’s 18th birthday on 1/3/26. Austin was the bar tender. He was attentive and amazing! Thank you Austin!

Friendly and helpful staff

Very disappointing bowling and axe throwing experience. The employees were miserable and completely unhelpful. The bar in the VIP room where we paid more money to bowl was closed. The fries that we ordered with our meal were extremely cold and misrepresented. We ordered a large and they were the size of a small. During axe throwing, the facility manager hovered over us and rudely told me I couldn't throw underhand--even though I am highly skilled, have always thrown this way, and have done so at this same establishment before.

When I asked why, this facility manager became combative and was a complete jerk instead of giving a clear explanation other than just saying for insurance purposes and reading the long waiver. In reviewing this waiver, there is NOTHING referring to this throwing motion. Inconsistent rules and poor customer service really ruined what should have been a fun experience. As an owner of a beach condo nearby, this establishment will be removed from my book of things to do in our unit for our guest.

Went with my work team. We had fun. Lots to do. Food was off. Chicken wings were fishy as were the onion rings. Nacho chips were stale. I get is boring Ashley food, but come on now. My team had a good time despite the weird tasting apps.

Our office has rented out the VIP room for our Christmas party for two years in a row, and they have been the best Christmas parties in our 31 years in business! Megan (the event coordinator) and Austin (our bartender) were wonderful and took great care of us and I could not recommend Gulf Bowl more highly. We'll definitely be back next December!
