Well I'm amazed that this place has a 4.4 on reviews. I the young man was nice enough but like most establishments not interested in assisting anyone with help. I advised I had never been there and ask about a specific flavor he said it was alright. No offer of a sample but if I'd of been offered a sample I'd of been afraid to order anything. Tried two flavors both totally disgusting. If blindfolded you couldn't make out what the mint chip was and the birthday cake was just about as unpleasant. Unless they step up to the plate and fix their issues I would never recommend this place. Buyer be ware and be warned.

1. The place stinks. It’s ice cream and flavored ice, why does this place smell so bad
2. The young man working in there is definitely just sitting on the clock making money. I went in two days ago and he “had a family emergency “ the night before so the soft serve machine was not ready. 2 days later, there is now a broken sign on the machine. I hope Rita is aware that this location is damaging the brand.

Seemed like it was an inconvenience for me to come in. The custard was good. No paper towels in the bathroom.

I feel absolutely victimized by Rita’s prices. Everyplace we went was lined out the door and Rita’s was empty which should have been my first sign. $9 for a junior cone is absolutely assault and battery. If my kid hadn’t been so patient throughout the night I for sure would’ve walked, but it is what it is now. Buyer beware!!

Bummer. Wanted to try Rita’s in foley this evening. Never been to one. It’s 7:05 ON A FRIDAY and he’s “cleaning the soft serve machine” went to Culver’s instead. Maybe a manager can clarify this closing process to the employee.

we drove from Florida to Foley, Alabama to this location because it was the closest the other closest location is an Orange Beach Alabama that I have been to quite a few times. This was my first time at this location with my family when we walked in there was no customers, and there was no employees as we approached the counter, a heavy set white girl who appeared to be possibly in her late teens, possibly 20s with brown hair and long fake eyelashes comes out, clearly annoyed that we were there, she gave the impression like we were bothering her or interrupting whatever she was doing in the back, she was just very rude. We were having a great day, enjoying ourselves and , even though she was rude, we overlooked it. She practically threw my money at me. She made my daughter and I wait to pay for hours until the rest of our family members finish placing their orders so clearly lazy. She did not want to check us out like you would normal customers , never heard of someone making you wait to pay until they’re done taking everyone’s order. Then she practically throws the money at me roll her eyes and walk back into the back room. We did not stay to sit inside. In fact, we sat in our car because it was just a better atmosphere than that, this was giving,. I understand that people have bad days, but there was just no reason for the way she acted now let’s move onto the quality of what we got. My mother paid almost 8 dollars for a plane small chocolate cone not a waffle cone just a regular basic nothing on it chocolate cone, I paid almost $18 for myself and my daughter Both of us got the same thing , we both got large mango gates, which barely had any of the ice cream in it. It was I would say 90% just water ice so just between the three of us we dropped almost $30 on subpar desserts with no extras and A person making them and taking our money with a major attitude and clearly did not want to do her job or be bothered by anyone, needless to say I will not be back. I would rather drive 10 miles to the Orange Beach location because that one has always had great customer service. and just FYI, the time that we went was around midday on May 17 Friday so FYI, if that same person that works there the heavyset white girl with the big fake lashes works during those hours. I would suggest not going maybe that’s why there was no customers during that time. I don’t know anyone who wants to go and drop that kind of money on a subpar dessert and get treated like that

I only came in here once several years ago for an interview. Was hands-down the WORST interview I've EVER sat for. The manager (or owner, unsure) acted like she had no time for me (even though the place was completely empty), didn't look at the resume I provided once, interrupted the interview several times to yell at the person behind the counter and complain that the movie on the TV hadn't been played, asked me if I have tattoos (we're living in the 2020s. If you can't see any tattoos and they aren't offensive, it's frankly none of your business how I decorate myself outside of work is my business and I cover my tattoos in formal functions anyway). I'm not exaggerating when I say that that interview was the worst one I've ever had. I've interviewed with US State Department Agencies, Universities, schools, restaurants, shops, and all other types of jobs and places. This one was the worst interview, hands down. I also watched the manager/owner repeatedly berate and yell at the person behind the counter (continuously interrupting the interview). That interview was so bad that I refuse to visit as a customer on principle. If you treat your staff like THAT, you do not deserve to be in business. You can serve the best custard on the Gulf Coast, in the country or in the world, but if you yell at and berate your staff like that and act like the people interviewing to work for you are not worth your time, you don't deserve my business. Period. I doubt this will ever change the owners/management's attitude, but I am posting this, years later because I don't just value the product/service a business puts out there, but I also care about how they treat their employees. Your employees are a key part of your business. I sincerely hope this business has done better since then, but the few times I've checked in since then has left me room for doubt on that. Please do better.

A large (2 scoop) vanilla custard in a dish - $7.59. -No way, never again. This is absurd.

We were visiting the area and stopped at this location at approximately 5:45pm. No custard available. No employee in sight. When she did come from the back she pointed at the screen for the available shaved ice flavors. When asked if shaved ice was all that was available she stated it was. She seemed less then happy that we interrupted her evening. We chose to not buy anything from this company.

We went to the Rita’s in Foley, walked in to order there was no one behind the counter, the store smelled like weed. when the lady finally did come my son asked what flavors custard they had instead of telling them she point at the board and said up there.. also according to the website they are open till 10:00 we ordered, my husband and kids sat down to eat their custard while I was paying. She told us the lobby was closed it was 9:39. So we went and satIn the truck. They shut the open sign off then. Weird how the website says they are open till 10:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. But the sign says they close at 9:00 on Saturday. just felt rushed and unwanted there..

Delicious! They should get a food truck and bring it to the soccer complex!
