We were visiting the area and stopped at this location at approximately 5:45pm. No custard available. No employee in sight. When she did come from the back she pointed at the screen for the available shaved ice flavors. When asked if shaved ice was all that was available she stated it was. She seemed less then happy that we interrupted her evening. We chose to not buy anything from this company.

We went to the Rita’s in Foley, walked in to order there was no one behind the counter, the store smelled like weed. when the lady finally did come my son asked what flavors custard they had instead of telling them she point at the board and said up there.. also according to the website they are open till 10:00 we ordered, my husband and kids sat down to eat their custard while I was paying. She told us the lobby was closed it was 9:39. So we went and satIn the truck. They shut the open sign off then. Weird how the website says they are open till 10:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. But the sign says they close at 9:00 on Saturday. just felt rushed and unwanted there..

We are at a Rita's Italian Ice at a different location from where we always go. We were excited to be staying so close to a Rita's on our vacation and had plans to get our dessert here each day. The girl that took my order on the first evening we got here was making my gelati wrong. She's supposed to put the custard on the bottom before putting Italian ice in the cup. After I asked her, she looked at me as though I was crazy but she then was corrected by who appeared to be her supervisor or manager on duty that it was supposed to go on the bottom. She then started to dump what she already scooped in my cup BACK INTO the main container the Italian ice flavor is in that they scoop from to sell to everyone. After I asked if she was supposed to do that, her manager asked me "she didn't touch it with her hands". Yes, I know she did not touch it but I don't think this is professional protocol for when an employee makes a mistake to be putting it back. I'm not an idiot but I know that's against food code and standards or whatever it is!I could only take 2 bites from my gelati as a matter of trust and professionalism. I eat out extremely carefully due to Celiac and although did not see the need to inform them because I already knew what I was getting for myself and my daughter was safe but after knowing that it's managed this way, I was completely turned off. Not to mention the tone in the supervisors voice towards me did appear defensive and rude, basically just unprofessional when it comes to running a place serving food and catering towards customer service.I'm disapponted because after driving from Houston and being in the car iff and on for about 12 hours or so and I was looking forward to getting Rita's all day when we got to our final destination and was planning on getting it all 3 evenings here and I will not be back to this location while here in our vacation.No doubt this was a violation of food safety regulations; I don't care that she didn't touch it!

I politely ordered an Italian Ice with banana custard on top like I have been for the last 3 weeks I have been here!!! Was rudely told by the manager absolutely not. When I explained I have been ordering same for 3 weeks he was so rude. Wow

What a joke! The Small cone for $5.99 was the size for a small child! Total rip off. Then they want a tip! Someone working needs more training. The Rita’s I’ve visited elsewhere a small was actually an adult portion.

Very sad to see closed January and February. Been coming down for the past 7 years and and now they close. Alot of disappointed winter customers!
