My wife and children and I go to Livingston every Sunday morning for church and on our way home a few weeks ago due to roadwork on the interstate we took the Fosters exit to go around it and we passed this restaurant and thought we should give that a try but we never seemed to have time but today we were able to stop and eat and let me just say I was completely blown away with how fantastic the food was. If you are around Fosters just do yourself a favor and drop in, the fried catfish was amazing and the mac and cheese was just out of this world. The atmosphere was so down home and the people running the place went above and beyond for the customers. 11 out of 10.

Old School roadside diner. (Sorry, no pics). The food hit the spot after 4+ hours on the road. Our party enjoyed Philly cheesesteak, wings, porkchops, and burgers. Don't even attempt the double hamburger. The ladies were humble, gracious, and attentive. The Sunday lunch menu sounded amazing. Maybe in the future. We will definitely keep them on our radar when we travel this way again. Definitely a hidden gem.

We stumbled upon Ms. J's Cafe & Catering Service in Fosters, AL (just outside Tuscaloosa) on our way home from Atlanta to Dallas, and it turned out to be a delightful find! The fried pork chops were perfectly seasoned, the mac and cheese was rich and creamy and no butter needed for the cornbread. The cafe is cozy and the service was exceptional. A must-try for anyone in the area or just passing through!

Excellent southern and soul food served in a tiny cinder block cafe just like I would expect.
Came 20 minutes out of my way to find the place closed at 1:40 pm on a wensday. When the posted hours say they are open till 4pm. What a way to waste my time.
