Great atmosphere, amazing food, and very friendly/helpful staff! The pork salad with their homemade ranch and the loaded potatoes are my two favorites, not to mention they have the best sweet tea in Dekalb county! The young lady working the drive-thru window has great customer service skills, is always smiling no matter how busy they are, and is always quick to get our food out the window accurately! Customer service is a huge thing for me and I would give the customer service at Shine's ten stars if I could! I'll always be a returning customer thanks to great food and amazing staff!

My favorite BBQ joint by far. The atmosphere is great, and the customer service is amazing. The staff are very attentive and accommodating. We had the ribs and chicken finger plate. The chicken fingers were juicy and had a lot of flavor. To be honest Shine’s BBQ had the best ribs I’ve ever tasted, the meat has a perfect sweet/savory flavor that just falls right off the bone. Great place to eat and if you aren’t from the area it’s definitely worth the drive!

My first time eating here. Quite impressed with the customer service of the young lady behind the counter. Very knowledgeable, professional and great customer service. I ordered the brown bag special and my food arrived quicker than I could get me drink filled and sit down. The BBQ sandwich was mouth watering and tender, smoked beans were delicious and peach cobbler made me remince of Mama's cobbler. I'll be back. Keep up the great job everyone!

I always get the half chicken and potato salad and baked beans. Shines has become my favorite place to eat. I usually do take out, but I absolutely love it. Definitely a small town gem. Also the pineapple cobbler is amazing.

I've ate there a couple times average at best actually brisket was pretty good above average but here's the problem I live on lookout mountain decided to drive out to shines on sand mountain so I pulled them up online it was 430 pm websight said open closes at 7 I head out there about 20 miles I pull up 515 lights out and nobody there if they are that independent they can't post online if they close early I can live without them I won't be back!!!!!
