I drove all the way from Auburn, Al to Gainesville just to see if the viral Alabama Rib Shack was the real deal. Spoiler alert: it absolutely is.
This isn’t just good BBQ. It’s “lean back in your chair, close your eyes, and rethink your life choices” good. The atmosphere reminded me of grandma’s house, surrounded by family!
Friendly folks, generous portions, and flavors that stick with you long after the last bite…no wonder TikTok blew this place up. Believe the hype. This spot is a must-stop.
If you’re anywhere within driving distance, make the trip. And if you’re not, well…it’s still worth it. This spot lives up to the hype.

Best ribs ever!!!! We drove 1 and a 1/2 hours because I saw the place in Google, and it was completely worth it! Never saw my husband eating as happily as he did in this place 😍

My husband and I was driving past this restaurant and decided to go back and try it. The food here is amazing. The people are very professional and very friendly. We will definitely be back. If you are close to Gainesville stop by Friday,, Saturday and Sunday.

Jamie Lee is the man. Well worth the hour drive. Everyone talks about the ribs but my personal favorite was the Ox tails. Can’t forget about the collards and beans. You can feel the love in the food. Roll Tide from Tuscaloosa.

The food and atmosphere was amazing! I came specifically for the smoked turkey which was smoked to perfection, full of flavor, and moist throughout! Everything I had was delicious. The food is well worth the price point for the amount of food received. With a combo platter, I had enough for 3 days! Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
