My mom simply asked if a sandwich was good or not and the lady said, “We work here. You think we gonna tell you if something nasty”😂 so rudely and absolutely unnecessary. I’ve never had someone not just answer with their honest opinion in my 23 years alive. I know she had to be having some day to be acting like that over a question lmao.

I decided to stop in here tonight to get me something to eat as a matter of a whim remembering the last time I was here the person working behind the counter appeared to be severely handicapped and was unable literally to communicate with me despite Manning the cash register by himself A co-worker ended up intervening and taking my order.

Fast forward to today....

When I entered the restaurant I instantly noticed how terribly cold it was and also noticed a girl standing behind the counter that looked kind of like she was in emotional distress with her arms folded like she was freezing. I placed my order and had to immediately go to my car to get a jacket so I did not have an uncomfortable dining experience. The the girl who took my order gave me a drink cup and I went to the drink machine to get my drink, the ice coming out of the machine on both sides was so slow that it took me approximately 4 minutes just to fill a small cup. Shortly thereafter I was given my food tray by the girl who took my order she was courteous enough to bring it to me which I thought was very professional when I placed my tray on the table and begin to eat my food I instantly noticed that the fries were very hot like they had been cooked very good but I also noticed there were a number of large burned items along with my fries one of the items was literally black indicating it had been left in the grease of the cooker for an extremely long period of time and was probably something very old. I ate my fries and begin to notice that there was a woman there whom I later determined was the manager that was talking on the phone very loud about a problem she was having with an employee while she was touching her face handling food items and then touching the telephone and touching food items. After the rather large African-American lady ended her phone call she began a rant and tirade about employee problems and this went on for the majority of the time I was there eating, she spoke so loudly that it actually was louder than the music being played on the overhead speakers. After I ate I placed an order for one of the shakes they were advertising on a sign and then the girl who took my order had to twice tell the manager person that the order was for the shake whenever that manager person looked back at me and asked me: did I want the whipped cream on it whenever I replied I would like it may just like it is on the advertising sign while pointing at the sign the manager person then turned away from me and said while she was facing where she was walking well some people don't want that on there. Considering I'm a college educated adult I think if I did not want something I would say that up front but I did not and this is the first time I've ever had such a request when being in any kind of restaurant. It appears here that the reviews at this location appear to be quite skewed from the number of the visits I've had to this location no doubt they have been manipulated and from my experiences are completely untrue.

Absolutely rude staff! We will never come back to this location. We were in the drive-thru and we said one second while we looked at the menu right quick. There was no one else in the line. She comes back over the speaker and with the rudest tone and said "Can I help you with the menu!" Absolutely uncalled for.

Kimberly the Assistant Manager with glasses at the Arby’s in Gardendale needs a serious look in the mirror when it comes to customer service. She’s very cold, stand offish, and I noticed she only greets and says thank you to white patrons, but when any other ethnic group of people comes in she doesn’t tell them “you’re welcome” or demonstrate basic manners. She automatically gives them a bag instead of checking the screen to see if they are for “dine in” which the cashier asks at the beginning of the order transaction. It costs absolutely nothing to demonstrate kindness to all people. Every time something was asked of her; it seem like a burden to her. I did my homework and No wonder the store has such bad reviews on google. Look no further than the leadership. I wouldn’t have said nothing if i didn’t have this same feeling every time I come in when she’s working her shift. Please do better!

Sorted takeout, then had to prepare the missing item. Last but not least, it seemed staff was full of duping delight after providing missing meal. Haven't been there in a while. Not going to try then again for a very long while. Disgusting. If I had to guess. I'd say it was about skin color. No, I'm not a Karen. My path is to be as kind to everyone as they allow. This treatment doesn't allow for much kindness.

DO NOT DOORDASH FROM HERE! My last 3 or so orders from here have had something missing. I don’t know if someone at the store is stealing stuff from door dash orders but this is insane! And this is NOT on door dash. This is 100% on Arbys. Last time I will ever door dash from this location.

******Horrible customer service***** Drive-Thru working on 8/5/2024 @6:25 as soon as my wheel hit in front of the intercom I was greeted with someone screaming at me asking what I wanted. My husband then replied. "Can you please give me a moment for my wife to look over the menu?" 5 sec later I then told the person working in the restaurant. Okay, we're ready to order now. I'm sorry for the delay in which she prompted back on the speaker. Can I have your order? I then told her my wife would like to get a number five with Arby's sauce and Powerade and she rudy said What and I told her that's okay and she rudy replied Thank you.

Came into this establishment last night (I'm a dasher) I don't normally dash in the gardendale area so I didn't know not to go here I went through the drive thru 1st and told then i had a door dash order I was instructed to come inside it was inside I went inside I stood at the counter 3 mins a Hispanic looking girl walked past a couple times and there was a black women behind the warmer looked like she was preparing food no one greeted me or said anything to me so I asked if they had a door dash order behind the counter no one said anything the 1st time so I spoke up and second time and the black lady preparing the order yelled out she working on it she put some food up through the warmer thingy and the Hispanic girl started bagging it up (in slow motion) once she finished she just left it there on the counter and walked away she didn't even share eye contact with me pretty terrible experience I ended up dropping the order and leaving they were empty no cars I'm drivthru no customers inside and I can honestly see why
