Went threw the drive thru 02/04/25 and the person working the drive thru was extremely rude and rushed us ordering and when we went to the window she didn’t speak to us and threw our food bag out at us and slammed the window

Every thing was as it should be just know this is not a fine dining experience. this store was clean and staff was doing a great job, I just miss the long time gone way they used to do the fish! Also wish they would bring back the condiment pumps! i’ve been eating at Captain D’s for over 45 years!
This location has gone downhill. My daughter and I walked in shortly after opening and the dining room was awful. Tables were dirty, trash was overflowing, and the condiments/drink station was sticky and filthy. There was one other couple in the restaurant and the workers were laying on the benches and playing on their phones behind the counter. Against my better judgment, we ate there instead of walking out. The girl taking our order was polite, the only plus of the experience. The food was soggy, dripping water when you picked it up and both my daughter and I got sick that night. Before we left the workers were all out front in the lobby booths on their cell phones instead of attending to the filth that littered the tables and floor.
My wife and I decided to go here for lunch today. I went to the men’s restroom to wash my hands. There wasn’t any soap or paper towels available. It didn’t look as if the restroom had been cleaned in a while. The dining area also needed a good cleaning. I had ordered a 2 piece fish dinner. After the first bite of both pieces, I held the pieces up and water ran out from where they had been bitten. My was told me that her dinner wasn’t as good as it had been when we had eaten there previously. Needless to say, we don’t plan on going back to the Gardendale location when we want Captain D’s.

My husband and I went for lunch about 2 weeks ago. As entering the entrance 2 workers were sitting outside by the door. One of the workers was smoking a cigar. I am very allergic to smoke. We ordered our food. The fish was hot and 1 piece of the fish was burnt.Our fries were cold other food was cold that we ordered.The dinning are was filthy.I asked the manager to wipe off the tables. We will not eat there again. We feel this restaurant has really gone down bad.
