This has been my go to restaurant. However one Sunday about two weeks ago, I never got my otder and barely got my money back because the system timed out for a refund. I understand the current situation with a shortage of employees. But after 1.5 hours of waiting on a busy day and I could not get a 4 piece with extra sides. Also I was not offered any compensation, tea, coupon, explanation,, hushpuppies, pie or an apology ?. Usually the service is okay when my order is right. Just check your to-go-orders.

My son and I were in Gardendale and we haven't eaten at Captain D's in quite awhile. The food was excellent. Cooked while we got our seat. The food was so good that we have vowed to go back on a regular basis.Parking: Plenty of parking places available.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking spaces at the side of the building. Entrance has a ramp from the parking lot to the doors.

Went in door was open noone inside. Glad i was not a robber. When i was walking out the manager was coming in i assume with her boyfriend she said they were getting a late start. Not too good for the owner of this store. This is friday 2/23/24 at 1045 am

Came in for an interview, the lady at the cash register told me to sit down and they’d be right out for me, sat there for 30 minutes before ordering a milkshake, that turned into 1 whole hour. As i was there, the 2 cooks in the back kept looking at me and giggling, when i’d look at them, theyd turn away. Tried calling , kept getting hung up on. I dont recommend to eat here or try to even work here unless you wanna sit at a table for a whole hour and not be interviewed.
Chicken, fish , shrimp, and all the sides were delicious Also the tea was great. Love when I actually get to enjoy my tea from a restaurant. Pretty quick service. Will be back in future.

The lady at the counter barely looked up from her phone, did not smile once and tisked at me when I came back to the counter and interrupted her from her phone again for a few condiments. The bathrooms, both, were extremely dirty. Drink area was a mess. Note, we were the only customers at the time.
