I was wondering why there were so many cars wrapped around the restaurant? So, I made a U turn and went in... BOY AM I GLAD I DID! Da Rib & Chicken Shack is a hidden gem in Gardendale. The food is well seasoned and there are a good many choices on the menu. But what makes it so good is the people. Every member of the staff is incredible. They are so nice and so attentive (without being overbearing) and they are very willing to talk you through the menu if you have questions. It is a joy to walk in the door. It feels like you are sitting down to eat with family. ?
This place was awesome! The food was delicious! I had the rib plate with fried okra and potatoe salad, and the ribs were tender with an awesome BBQ sauce. The side were exceptionally tasty as well. My son had the BBQ chicken and said it was equally delicious. My wife had fried chicken and thought it was some of the best she has tried. Our 5 year even ate all of his food and didn't complain, ?
