Very poor service. You may get ignored while waiting for a table. Do not ask for any extra sauce unless you want to make the waitress mad. The food is good but it takes FOREVER to come out. I will not go back.

Great as always. Super nice server. Oyster basket was perfect. Best fried oysters in bham. Friday night dinner with my 7-year-old daughter. They had crayons and coloring sheets for her when we walked in. Her fried shrimp basket was great and she loves the fried okra. So glad this place is back open and doing well. This is my favorite restaurant in the Birmingham Metro.

Shilled Out By FErs
I went to Shrimp Basket in Gardendale yesterday & the person that seated me ask me what I wanted to drink & then they proceeded to go over to another table laughing, sitting with them & carrying on conversation, completely forgetting about me. There was another waitress that walked past my table multiple times & never looked up at me. They continued to wait on other customers but never bothered to take my order or bring me my drink. I feel like that they did not want to serve me. Maybe didn’t feel like I would tip enough or didn’t like the way I looked? I will never go back !! I tried to send them a direct message & of course, no response!!

Went here for date night tonight! I haven’t been here in years and figured we would give it a go! Food was great, I had the Cajun pasta and my boyfriend got the boneless wings. It was nice and hot and didn’t take too long to come out. On the other hand, the service needs improvement. Maybe it was an off night, but it was not crowded when we came in. We didn’t have any specific server, four separate people took care of us. None of the workers seemed to understand where they needed to be, and most of them were standing around on their phone, I even saw one take a personal phone call. After we got our food, service was downright awful. We sat around for 20 minutes waiting for anyone to come and take our card for the bill, and we waited the same amount of time for some boxes, because again, the food was great. Again, maybe an off night…but I couldn’t understand walking by a table more than twice and pretending not to see us.
