I still wonder how this restaurant is still open. I have heard dining there is ok. I don’t understand how, because the 3 times I’ve been to pick up a take home order. The staff are rude and don’t act like they even care that you’re waiting for your order. When I arrived t was told to sit at the bar while they found someone to take my order. Keep in mind it’s 4:45pm and no one is there.I sat at the bar for 20 minutes before I got up and found someone to take my order. I tried to order 1/2 pound grilled shrimp and 1/2 pound fried shrimp. I was told they couldn’t do that. Since I had been waiting I just chose not to argue, so I ordered fried shrimp. This was a take home order.

The food at every Shrimp Basket is always so good. The service at this location was just off. Hard to get server to show up to the table for refills or any other need. Hostess was basically rude, repeatedly asking one of my daughters what was wrong because she'd just played a ballgame in the cold wind and eyes were red. She wouldn't quit asking what was wrong, are you crying, have you been crying etc etc?

Walked in and waited to be seated. Girl was facing away from the door leaning on the shelf facing the wall looking at her phone. We waited a couple of minutes and she turned around and asked how many ( I didn't know she was the hostess). She took us back to a table, there were only 8-12 people seated in the entire restaurant. We sat there about 10 minutes and saw no waitresses waiting on any table. I told my wife let's go. On the way out I noticed hardly anyone had food and most hadn't ordered. I eat at Shrimp Basket quite a bit in Pensacola on Navy Blvd and it's always good. Seems this location needs to hire some wait staff.

The food is magnificent, the atmosphere of the restaurant is happy, the personnel makes you want to come back for more, they make the best virgin mermaid Waters in the world for children, the ones for adults are not bad at either.
Good food. I had the combo platter with shrimp and catfish. The shrimp were large but the catfish were small strips where I would have expected filets.
