I love Waffle House, but not this one, and won’t even consider coming back anytime soon. Had one of the worst dining out experiences I’ve ever had here. The cherry on top was us walking out, and as we are, our server asks the other staff members “did they even pay”? You mean you paid so little attention to us, you didn’t even see me pay? You may have noticed that we paid if even just once you came back to refill a drink or see how we were doing. Messed up my girlfriend’s order, remade it, didn’t remake hash browns so they were cold when they got back to her. Terrible in every single aspect. I would not eat at all before I came back to this WH

The server Tammy was great. She was very attentive to what we needed and friendly
Service has declined in the past year or so. Tables were not cleaned in a timely manner after customers left, and floors were filthy. Service was slow, not very attentive, and kept forgetting things. Too much talking and playing amongst the staff. It is not the same peaceful atmosphere it used to be.

I went in this location around 910 am which I usually go on my lunch and I was greeted by a condescending employee name rose who who I asked about a booth which she saiid does it look like I have a booth but working in customer service and restaurant u as an employee shouldn’t run customers off like she did I enjoyed most of the staff here foid consistent because of rose u lost a valuable customer
My order was wrong after communicating with them about 1item noticed when I arrived to pick it up. After I arrived home I noticed the entire order was incorrect. I called back several times to speak with someone and the answering service would not transfer for anyone to take the call!! I am extremely frustrated with this matter because I live too far to turn around and go back. I would like compensation for this mixup!!!

Kid-friendliness: I took my 4 year old grand daughter and her 6 year old brother. They had a marvelous time. The server talked to them, which they thought was great! At some places, I'm asked what they want so this made them feel special.

I just left waffle house gardendale first of all my friend and I went in and sat at a booth I ordered scrambled cheese eggs grits hash browns I got my meal after having to ask for missing items several times I ask for my toast then my hash browns I got those when my meal was almost finished.my meal was given to me in three plates.thd cook was dragging like she had been there twenty-four hours.i think my waitress name was Mia she was to worried about who was calling brandy telling her to go home to do her job I never new a restaurant was a friend hangout.i didn't tip good cause the service was the worst I've ever had and iAm 62years old.wont be a business working like that.iam very disappointed

Waitress and hostess were so sweet and even though they were busy, they were attentive and didn't have a long wait for anything. Food was definitely a let down, not that I expect 5 star dining, but hashbrowns need to at least have some crisp to them. Food was not hot for being freshly made.
