Most self centered customers you can find. Stand in line for a person with a takeout order placed in front of you. Great food with average service for having these people just in front of others. Wait your turn!

If you love turkey, you will LOVE this place! Thanksgiving vibes all day, every day. Food is fresh from the farm. Many selections to choose from sandwiches to a full Thanksgiving dinner. Don't forget pies for dessert! Also, you can purchase portions of turkey to take home. A quick stop off I-65 for a great meal.

This was my first time to Bates House of turkey. I ordered sliced turkey by the pound and a smoked turkey sandwich. It's all delicious. The girl at the counter knew her products well and was a lot of help.

Me and my husband have been stopping at Bates House of Turkey on our way to visit family in Birmingham for the last 15 years. Every time we go in, we are greeted so nicely by the sweet girls up front taking orders. Today, we stopped in hoping to pick up some turkey sandwiches for lunch and we were appalled at what we were seeing behind the counter. There was 4 people working behind the counter, a line full of customers, and an older woman behind the counter absolutely yelling at what looked like teenagers taking orders. The young man who took my order today was trying to ask me what I wanted on my sandwich when this lady came up and hit him on the arm while he was trying to talk to me. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Those kids stayed calm with her screaming at them and quite frankly I don't know how. As a mom myself, I was in shock. For as long as we have been coming to this establishment, I have never been as upset with what I witnessed as I was today, and quite frankly I am very upset. I'm not sure we will be coming back anytime soon. It's not a good look to be screaming at your employees with a building packed full of people watching you do it, it says a lot about how you run your business.

I got the house turkey play it was pretty good I got extra gravy gravy with homemade and delicious turkey the smoked turkey was definitely the way to go I got to smoke turkey sandwich and it was the bomb they only had rolled gold barbecue sauce which bean from the Midwest was a little hairy because we like our sweet and spicy or savory red kind. All in all it was a fun experience. Anytime I've passed through prior they were always closed, so I didn't even know that this place was still open, the parking lots a little bit decrepit! It was nice to see them open for once when I was in the area..
