Pork was good, sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. The meat has a really nice flavor and I didn’t think the it really needed sauce. My husband loved the sauce because he likes a sweeter sauce.The baked beans were delicious.The potato salad was way too sweet.The smoked chicken sandwich is huge. It is tender and juicy but it does lack some flavor. I don’t care to add condiments so that I can enjoy the flavor of the meat. The tomato on the sandwich really helped because it was fresh, juicy and very tasty. The bun was fresh.The stew was very good. I enjoyed the flavors and the heartiness of it.The brownie was disgusting - do not bother. It was dry and old.The lady working was very nice and the service was great.This is a smoke trailer in a gas station parking lot with a porch built on the back with some picnic tables. Be prepared to picnic and watch cats run around and cars go by.

This was one of my most anticipated stops for our entire vacation- a little shack on the side of the road...it just felt right. I want to start by saying that the two people who were running things the day I was there were lovely. So sweet, and everything I expected and wanted from a roadside shack in Alabama. Sadly, they did not have the smoked turkey that I was planning to get, so that was a bit of a disappointment. They did have smoked chicken though, so I was fine to get that. I got two sandwiches- one with sauce and one without. If it was as mind-blowing as I was hoping it to be, I definitely wanted a backup. The sauced sandwich was pretty good. Not mind-blowing but very good. When I got to the non-sauced sandwich a couple of days later, I was disappointed. There was almost no smoke flavor. The chicken was tender, and cooked well. It just didn't have a pit roasted smokey essence to it. It really needed the sauce. I am sure other items on their menu are better/more smokey. There is a reason they get such rave reviews and people come through and order pounds at a time. I would still encourage people to give this spot a try. The folks are so nice and it is just such a neat atmosphere.

The last time I had food from here, it was cold. Like refrigerator cold. I ordered 2 pounds of pork and it was not fresh.

This unassuming little place had some of the best barbecue we have ever eaten. It’s a concrete shed basically, no place to sit. the menu was simple and unfussy. We had the chopped pork sandwiches. Plus cole slaw, potato salad and baked bean. All were delicious. The flavors of each were just right.

Some of the best bbq I’ve had, they cook it right when you order. The ribs are delicious, make sure to get the sauce put on it.
Like the 3 out of 5 stars rating says—fine, but not exceptional. Run-down Alabama ambiance. 4 shaded picnic tables. Cash only.
