Love this place! We were here for a week and it was great for our family of 5. The kids loved going back and forth from the pool to the beach everyday and there is a grocery store right across the street which was very convenient!

Service: 5

We arrived at bills and we're greated by the hostess and seated promptly. Our waiter greated us and got our drink order while we looked over the menu. At that time we ordered 2 orders of the Mac and Cheese balls and a mixed drink. When the waiter came back. He had one order of Mac and Cheese and a beer. We informed him that we didn't order the beer and we had another order of Mac and Cheese, he seemed confused at what we were telling him so we accepted the beer and ordered the mixed drink again Bills Bermuda Water and confirmed that he had another order in. We got our mixed drink, it tasted like tanning bed lotion smells. Taste is subjective so we just accepted and went on with our meal. The plating and look of the food was great, that's where our experience ended. We ordered blackened shrimp that was so salty it could hardly be eaten, coconut shrimp that was horribly over cooked and extremely rubbery. Some of Our table ordered burgers that where burnt on the outside and extremely dry. The three things we can say where good was the fried potatoes, the Mac and Cheese balls, and the grilled cheese. Our waiter came to our table and asked us how we liked the food, we simply told him we did not like the food. We're not very confrontational people so we just let it be where it was. Within minutes Bill arrived at our table to ask us why we where dissatisfied with our food. A great gesture. At which point we told him what we didn't like and he seemed nearly offended. At that point bill offered us "Free Geleto for everyone, on the house" as he and his waiter whisked away with our plates and beverages. They did not ask if we where fished with our food or drinks before they had taken them away. Even though it wasn't that good of food, we spent $115 minus tips. No offer to comp our food which is okay but if I pay for my food. Like it or not. I would eat it rather than be scurried out of the door. I will never return again we dine out all over the country. One of my last choices for beach side seafood.

Lol! This place and "Bill" got exactly what it deserved! It's called karma... when the owner is an a****** and you serve shitty food... this is what happens! Couldn't happen to a better f****** a*******

This place is awful. And while I could embellish - it isn't worth the time to spell all the awful out and the owner will just come on here and insult me anyways (like he does with anyone who leaves a negative review). Go to Fishers.... I'm updating this only to share the attached photo. Seems #karma caught up with Bill for cussing out and hanging up on his many, many unhappy customers!

First time there. People were great from the minute we walked in. The green tomatoes sweet chili shrimp was one of the best appetizers we have ever had. The artichoke spinach crab dip was outstanding also. Owner Bill came to the table to check on the meal and service. Told us about a visit from Morgan Freeman recently and he came back twice in one week for the, yep, fried green tomatoes with sweet chili shrimp. They will see us again.

They've got a new chef and he's mixing up the menu with some really nice dishes. Be sure to get the Bill's home brew beer in a big glass for .75 cents Highly recommended! Last time I had the Cuban sandwich, smoked in-house and nicely done. They have a very nice menu with stuff like their own version of shrimp and grits, crab claws, seared tuna, po' boys, fried green tomatoes with shrimp and prime rib and it's all from a lovely view of the Gulf of Mexico, nice! Everything we've had we enjoyed very much and we've had a visit from the man himself Bill who has checked on us to make sure all is to our liking, nice touch. While I can recommend the atmosphere, the food and the view let's talk sweets. They've got key lime pie, yes pie which is a lot like cheesecake, traditional cakes but the bread pudding with 151 rum sauce is really and truly crazy good. And then there's gelato, um gelato which is catching on locally but I have been a fan for decades and they have a nice selection of delicious gelato, salute! Give Bill's a try because they just keep getting better.

Stopped here for dinner while staying overnight in the area during a trip from Texas to Florida and I'm so glad we chose this place! The location is amazing, and since we went off season around 8:30pm, the place was practically empty. The service was fast and great, and the food and drinks were fantastic. I still dream about the blackened chicken pasta I had! (Update, I found a picture that I took!). I'll never forget my short time in Alabama that night, and I will never forget that pasta!

I would not normally give this place such a high rating, but so many people are so extreme. They either leave a 5 star rating or a 1 star rating. This is a low 4-star restaurant which IS NOT A CUT. IT'S A COMPLEMENT. Gulf Shores and the nation are experiencing a great economy. Restaurants like Bill's get pinched by the labor shortage. The labor here is seasonal, which makes it more difficult. If you want a 5-star restaurant, be willing to pay $20-$40 MORE per person. So, the food is good. The staff is good. The price is OK. So 4+4+3=11. 11/3=3.67 rounded to low 4. Eat here often and enjoy. I do!

I give 4 stars because I saw the owner get a little snippy with some customers and our food was good, but not as good as other restaurants around Gulf Shores. I would probably go back again with no complaints, this just wouldn't be my favorite restaurant or top choice.

Note on reviews: we base them on the type or the "genre" per-se of establishments. By the Yelp numbers this place enjoys one thinks it would be an easy choice. Sad reality is that it's average at best. We went on steak night and I had the fillet mignon and my wife had the ribeye. Both steaks were well cooked and average. The reason for the poor review is the add-ons. To be specific I, ordered the crab cake Oscar on top of my fillet mignon. This was a $10 extra which if it had the crab meat promised would have easily been worth it. So to me, the add-ons were a high-priced rip off. I can't deny the steaks were good. But one has to question the thought process behind the add-ons? Tourists be mindful. Just my two cents. Cheers!

Here for the AYCE shrimp. It was delicious. Grilled is the best. Get here around 4pm. It fills up fast !! Also came back for Sunday Brunch. The colossal Bloody Mary rocked !! The eggs Benedict with the crab and sausage was soooo good !! Hubby had the breakfast burger he may had Been told not to lick the plate. It was that good. Again recommend you arrive early. You don't have to wait then !!

Very disappointed, we were looking for a good place to take the family, read a lot of good reviews and saw that the chef had won some awards. The chef must not have been working. The surf and turf steak was very poor/cheap quality. I ordered the fish tacos, dry with no flavor. One person in our party ordered the filet mignon, it was ok. The service was great! When we pointed out how awful the surf and turf steak was the manager offered to cut 50%, we weren't looking for a deal, just wanted a good meal.
