I always stop for ice cream every time I visit gulf shores.
Yummy homemade ice cream. I can't recall the name of the ice cream I got, but it was some sort of dark chocolate (literally looked black) and caramel. I got it in a waffle cone. It was so good.
Matt's used to be in the strip mall where Original Oyster House is (on the left like your leaving gulf Shores) but it has moved up the road some and is now on the right (like your leaving GS).
A bit expensive for ice cream. We paid $53 for 6, 1 scoop cones. It was good ice cream, the building was clean and the staff was kind though!
It’s ice cream. Can’t go wrong and would recommend.
Best ice cream in town. We always make several stops to visit. Can’t beat it.
Really good, did not disappoint. The ice cream was delicious and the servings were great. It does cost a little more but it’s well worth it. You can also eat it inside or on the outside benches. Would come back again!

Absolutely outstanding ice cream. I had the raspberry chocolate and it had delicious sirla of raspberry, and scrumptious pieces of chocolate. My husband had the rocky road and it was a perfect blend of chocolate, nuts and marshmallows.

Delicious homemade ice cream, I had the banana split and it was delicious. If you’re in the area stop by Matt’s and grab small candy on the way out.
Kid-friendliness: My kids are older now but this is a place I would have loved to have bought them.

Should update their hours- went to both locations because it said they were open until 10 and they were closed.
