My hubby and I ate at this great restaurant 3 times in one week! Excellent serviceExcellent hot fresh food! Our waitress was Daniela and she was the best! Friendly and so efficient in every way! The last time while waiting for our food I noticed how efficient the staff and manager ran this great establishment. Kudos ? for your hard work during a packed time. The owner should be proud of this staff! My pick 2 of fried shrimp and shrimp scampi was cooked perfect! Baked potato excellent with homemade slaw. Of course the peanut butter pie was the highlight! Thank you for such a wonderful meals and service! See you in October!

The food was great, loved the salad bar and gator bites. Staff was even better, super friendly and was a pleasure to talk to. We loved that it's overlooking the water, we looked for wildlife while waiting for dinner. Great place, will come again when we're in the area.

I was very excited to try Original Oyster House due to the reviews, but the food was an expensive version of Applebees. The good: friendly server, prompt serving of food, the cheese grits, the upkeep of the salad bar, and nice sized raw oysters. The not great: the raw oysters had lots of shell pieces and did not have a fresh salt water taste. The cooked and raw oysters were too dry. All the fried foods we order (fish, popcorn shrimp)were not crispy and just warm on delivery. The crab stuffed flounder was soggy, underseasoned, and left much to be desired. I honestly can not understand the hype, and I really wanted to enjoy this more. Maybe because I went to FloraBama earlier in the day (which lived up to the hype), I was hoping this place would "wow" me, but I think it's surviving on tradition and legacy.

Total tourist trap. The oysters were average at best. My wife ordered the catch of the day with lemon pepper, and it was so bad she could only eat 3 bites. I order my fish blackened and it was ok. Just an average seafood place. Order 2 drink at the bar,.was charged $11/e, which I thought was a little steep, but then I couldn't taste any vodka in my Tito's and water.
