Very expensive. Wife ordered soup but it never came to table.I had chop steak it had a burnt crust, pink inside. Wife had pork loin it was cool not hot. Both meals were not hot.Due to be expensive and poor food prep. We are not going return.Hardly any customers.Sorry but in todays time price and quality are important.

Super casual place that serves wine and cocktails and an array of food. Hard to find because it is actually in the Zoo. That alone should set expectations accordingly. We went for our anniversary. It was not anything like what we expected. They have a good selection of wine but we went with cocktails. My favorite was the lemon drop martini. I had shrimp fettuccine. The shrimp came on a skewer and were very good. The pasta was nice as well but the sauce was pretty non-existent. I was fine with that though but I don't think most people would be. My husband had a steak that he said was "okay". My overall impression was that it is a restaurant that doesn't know who it wants to be, casual or high end. I would say given the location and decor of business it should settle on casual and call it a day.

Best restaurant in Gulf Shores. We made it our anniversary restaurant because it is so perfect. The food is amazing and the environment is super cool. You are also supporting the zoo and its conservation efforts. What could be better?

Went to the zoo intending to dine at the Safari Club only to find the gates shut tight. Meanwhile, it is supposedly open until 8. Good luck trying to get in.

I didn't even know this restaurant was at the zoo! I was just looking for places to eat on Google that we hadn't visited and this one popped up. I'm glad we chose it! The atmosphere was awesome! Feels like you walked into a restaurant at the Serengeti! The staff were all super friendly and very helpful. I ordered the ribeye with green beans and mashed potatoes and it was amazing. The steak was cooked perfect and had a really good flavor. My wife had the grilled shrimp and they were excellent as well. We got there around 5pm on a Thursday and there was hardly anyone there, except for a few locals at the bar. It's off the beaten path and well worth it! We definitely found us another restaurant to frequent when we come back!

I’ll have to come when the animals are awake and warmer. Okay for children.

Absolutely delicious meal!! My wife had eaten here before and she was fairly insistent (men you know how that is) I give it a try. It was a Friday evening and barely any cars in the lot. Not impressed, I'm thinking. Well, she was right (men don't tell her I said that). The service was fantastic and the entire meal was the best I've had in a very long time, maybe ever. I had the ribeye, green beans and gouda cheese mashed potatoes. She had the mahi mahi with sweet potatoe fries. We both finished EVERYTHING!!!

Food was amazing! By far my favorite place we have eaten on our trip. Chris B did a amazing job serving us, she is a irreplaceable employee and her hard work hopefully does not go unnoticed by upper management!

We had lunch right at 11am when they opened today while taking a break from our zoo trip. They were short staffed, with only 2 servers and 1 cook. But you would have never known if our server hadn’t told us. There were probably 10 tables and we were a party of 6. I wish I had caught our servers name… he was fantastic. Very attentive, the food was great and came out quickly, he came to the table with drink refills often and the restaurant itself was beautiful and clean. As a career restaurant employee myself, I tend to be judgmental but also find it absolutely necessary to praise the restaurants and staff that go above and beyond and I was 100% impressed. Would go back here anytime, whether visiting the zoo or not.Side-note: didn’t drink because it was 11am, but the bar looks incredible and look forward to having cocktails next time!

Vegetarian options: Excellent vegetarian, gluten-free and Leto-friendly options.

Kid-friendliness: Excellent kids menu options! When both my kids wanted pizza though, our server suggested getting one pizza from the regular menu because you’ll get more for your money. Great wood-fired pizzas.

Parking: PLENTY of parking, as it shares a parking lot with the zoo.

Dietary restrictions: My aunt is gluten-free and the offer gluten-free buns for burgers and sandwiches and corn tortillas for tacos. Also veggies option for dipping instead of pita for hummus or tuna dip.

The food was fantastic. The best meal we have had in Gulf Shores and probably the cheapest. My husband is a pork tenderloin sandwich connoisseur and he said it was the best he’s ever had. I had the seafood pasta and it was most definitely worth the price. Huge shrimp and chunks of real crab meat. So good! Our kids both got cheeseburgers off the kids meal and they ate EVERYTHING! This is unheard of for them. The beef patties were thick and juicy. We also had crab cakes for an appetizer and they were also top notch. The restaurant was operating with only two waitresses, ours was functioning as not only the waitress but also the hostess and bartender as well. You would have never known, she was fantastic. We only waited 20 min for a table. I can’t say enough about this place. It deserves the public’s attention.

Parking: Free, easy parking

We stopped in for lunch on Feb 20th. It was a busy day at the zoo with school vacations. We were immediately greeted and seated by one of the best employees ever. I am afraid I missed her name but she mentioned she was the manager. She was outstanding! Not only was she greeting and seating guests she was also bartending and serving food. As busy as she was she offered a one on one relaxing service to the point you would have thought you were the only people there! Kudos to her!
