Very expensive. Wife ordered soup but it never came to table.I had chop steak it had a burnt crust, pink inside. Wife had pork loin it was cool not hot. Both meals were not hot.Due to be expensive and poor food prep. We are not going return.Hardly any customers.Sorry but in todays time price and quality are important.

Super casual place that serves wine and cocktails and an array of food. Hard to find because it is actually in the Zoo. That alone should set expectations accordingly. We went for our anniversary. It was not anything like what we expected. They have a good selection of wine but we went with cocktails. My favorite was the lemon drop martini. I had shrimp fettuccine. The shrimp came on a skewer and were very good. The pasta was nice as well but the sauce was pretty non-existent. I was fine with that though but I don't think most people would be. My husband had a steak that he said was "okay". My overall impression was that it is a restaurant that doesn't know who it wants to be, casual or high end. I would say given the location and decor of business it should settle on casual and call it a day.

The restaurant at the Zoo has reopened, under new management. Family and I hat Saturday brunch there today. Atmosphere is cute, conducive for a zoo setting, food was very good, more upscale then your average zoo destination, and reasonably priced compared to other such venues I have visited. Will go back.

Best restaurant in Gulf Shores. We made it our anniversary restaurant because it is so perfect. The food is amazing and the environment is super cool. You are also supporting the zoo and its conservation efforts. What could be better?

Went to the zoo intending to dine at the Safari Club only to find the gates shut tight. Meanwhile, it is supposedly open until 8. Good luck trying to get in.

Oh how fun and different!! Be sure to get the Korean fried Broccoli. I'm not a vegetarian, but I could be if I had these everyday!!

I didn't even know this restaurant was at the zoo! I was just looking for places to eat on Google that we hadn't visited and this one popped up. I'm glad we chose it! The atmosphere was awesome! Feels like you walked into a restaurant at the Serengeti! The staff were all super friendly and very helpful. I ordered the ribeye with green beans and mashed potatoes and it was amazing. The steak was cooked perfect and had a really good flavor. My wife had the grilled shrimp and they were excellent as well. We got there around 5pm on a Thursday and there was hardly anyone there, except for a few locals at the bar. It's off the beaten path and well worth it! We definitely found us another restaurant to frequent when we come back!

I read many positive reviews about this place, so I figured why not eat here since we are going to the zoo. Should've gone somewhere else. The ambiance is very nice! Almost classy. Went on a Sunday morning so there was someone playing live music. The service was extremely slow for it not being busy. We sat by the area where they refilled drinks, so she passed us multiple times and never checked in on us. We had to ask her twice for refills. The price for the food is actually pretty reasonable considering it is at the zoo. Quality of the food was not the greatest. Overall, it's convenient, but wouldn't come back.

I’ll have to come when the animals are awake and warmer. Okay for children.

Absolutely delicious meal!! My wife had eaten here before and she was fairly insistent (men you know how that is) I give it a try. It was a Friday evening and barely any cars in the lot. Not impressed, I'm thinking. Well, she was right (men don't tell her I said that). The service was fantastic and the entire meal was the best I've had in a very long time, maybe ever. I had the ribeye, green beans and gouda cheese mashed potatoes. She had the mahi mahi with sweet potatoe fries. We both finished EVERYTHING!!!

A pleasant surprise. We sat outside looking over the zoo. Food was great and just a very pleasant night.

Food was amazing! By far my favorite place we have eaten on our trip. Chris B did a amazing job serving us, she is a irreplaceable employee and her hard work hopefully does not go unnoticed by upper management!
