Under the canopy of "concept," one can judge a bar just as Google has it laid out, by three categories: Food, Service, and Atmosphere. Consistently, The Cove hits high on all these marks, but if there was a way to give 6 Stars for Service, I would. Speed and accuracy are important qualities for a bartender, but really, good personalities always trump a menu or drink list for me. Beyond measure, Danielle, Gina, and Ashley behind the stick, the floor staff led by John and with honorable mention to Tina, the crew of this local gem deserves your visit. Usually great energy and music is coming off the small stage, the food doesn't disappoint, and I can usually count on the friendliness of the regulars around the pool table, which is a rarity when nary a one has beaten me...just kidding - but I'm serious about this review.

The only saving grace for this restaurant was the music. I went to this restaurant for a nice meal to end our first night in gulf shores. The server we had snapped in the face of my friends to get their attention, was short and impatient with our orders, and griped at the drink orders we made. The only time nice comments or conversations were made was when we had the checks in our hand. She's lucky they applied gratuity because we didn't plan on tipping a dime. Do not recommend.

Our server was very delightful. We met a friend after work and arrived around 9:45pm The food was delicious, the music was loud but acceptable, and the atmosphere was great. I would recommend this place to all!
The food was poor, that is pretty much it; service was average; the ambiance was standard for Gulf Shores, but having an outdoor smoking area and non-smoking area separated by nothing but a sign is rather futile.

Within recent months, our Friends & Neighbors FB group has twice selected this venue after our weekly group poll selecting different Friday destinations based on our poll results. The group takes into consideration a variety of factors such as happy hours and food specials, quality of service, and the ability of venues to accommodate our group. Additionally, offering live music and entertainment here serves an added bonus for our group members. During our December visit, we selected Deejay Kev to perform. Their stage setup & sound system with additional floor space make this neighborhood bar an excellent live music venue. The food here is excellent & offers more than usual bar fanfare on their menu. The most popular option amongst our group includes their tuna nacho. Tuna's flakey and flavorful upon their crunchy bed of fried homemade won tons which aren't oily having that perfect crunch combined with their seaweed salad spicy mayo & eel sauce making this an excellent app. or entree. I've only sampled that app from a group of members as my ordered app was Wings. Crisp juicy skin exterior with tender chicken within sauced & seasoned properly. Available saucing options feature mild hot or plain. Another Crowd pleaser bar staple & my go-to includes their classic build-your-own burger. It's well prepared spiced flavorfully flame-kissed & juicy featuring a modest topping selection featuring different cheeses, avocado, proteins & more. Wishing for just basic onions lettuce tomato & pickle? That's available without an additional charge. If you love a mild kick my recommendation would be fried jalapenos. They also include sides with their burger. My selection was their fries which are seasoned hot & have a light soft crisp.
