What a surprising find in a tiny town. We were in Hackleburg for the weekend with our RV getting our windshield replaced. We ventured out on Saturday evening and walked to El Fogon. I'll preface this review with we travel...a lot, all over the US. We have ate some incredible Mexican food and El Fogon ranks up there with some of the best. The food was really good. The stuffed poblanos were especially good. Thumbs up El Fogon!

We had excellent food and service, but they need to fix the AC. It's always warm in the restaurant.

We stopped to eat at El Fogon while traveling through the area and glad we did! The portions were large and the food tasted authentic. Service was friendly and fast. We would definitely eat again if we visit the area again!

Out of ALL the Mexican places to eat - in Haleyville (my hometown) there are NONE who have chili rellenos that are 1)made fresh 2) with cheese only! All the places we have in town pre orders them -and they have meat inside. So thankful for them making this for me

I was in town from Atlanta to visit my mom and came upon this restaurant and gave them a try. I did take out, and the guy who was working the cash register was super nice. The restaurant is nice and clean and inviting. The food was spot on, too! I'd definitely recommend this hidden gem! ??????

My family and I visited El Fogon a couple months back while we were up from Orlando visiting family. I never thought I would see such a great Mexican restaurant in Hackleburg. I've had this type of food all over the country and in Mexico, as well, and I found it as authentic as it comes. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely visit every time I come back.

One thing I do appreciate is decent ethnic foods. People that try extremely hard to make a very quality product.

I have not been to this establishment and been underwhelmed with what I have received ever. I do appreciate the quality of what they do and how they do it.

I do not end up on that side of hackleburg that often but when I do and I need a quick bite to eat that is my focal point that's where I go they are reliable and consistent. Their service is attentive and they listen and they care about what they prepare.

They're atmosphere is very entertaining and fun they have videos playing in a way that just takes you to another part of the world and experience the time that you're waiting in a way that just draws you in. I appreciate the miss as an establishment.

Downtown Hackleburg isn’t a place I thought I’d find some of the best fish tacos I ever had had, but they are there at this little place. I will be back to try more of their options. Worth a trip for the quality of the food. Highly recommend tbis place if you even slightly enjoy Mexican food.
