we went into Guthrie's today and had to ask them to wipe a table. They wiped 1 table for us and didn't bother to wipe the rest of the dirty tables. When we got our food it seemed fresh with hot fries. I took a bite of the chicken and it was so SALTY I could not eat it. Glad I got a box so I could eat the slaw and bread with my fries. Wish the owner would reach out. It was by far the worst experience I ever had there. I had to take my chicken home for the outside dog bc I wouldn't even feed it to my house dog.
The last few months, the food has been awful! Overdone and way oversalted! We won't be back sadly.

Haleyville location isn't what it used to be. Jasper location is excellent. Haleyvilles bread has been burnt for almost a year now at both locations, if that solved that problem it would be back to 5 stars.

I recommend a chicken finger plate with an extra sauce OR a “Slammer” which is a chicken finger sandwich on toast and of course you gotta get some fries to go with it!!! I LOVE everything about it, especially the chicken finger sauce!!!Yummy!!! I always get an extra one so I can dip my fries in it. If you haven’t tried it, you really need to! To me, everything about GUTHRIE’S is absolutely FANTASTIC!!!
