We got charged for 4 drinks it should have been 3, when i asked the waitress/cashier about it she told me that they are all the same price. ? the waitress forgot to bring my sister her order of fries so she had a burger with NO fries!!! WRITE the orders down people!!! the waitresses were very nice and the food was Phenomenal!!!!!! please get them more help, it’s a busy place..

My family and I stopped in today and that was our first mistake. When we walked through the door, everyone at the counter looked up but never spoke a word. We found a table and waitress came to take our drink order. She came back with the drinks and then took the food order. Now here is when it gets interesting. We had a little accident with one of our cups which was completely empty. No one came to check on us until our order came out 40 minutes later. Waitress walked around our table multiple times and never say a word. Now also the same waitress took time to set and talk with a gentleman at another table. Along with other orders coming out ahead ours that was taking 10 to 15 minutes after our order. Very POOR customer service experience.

If I could give it negative stars, I most certainly would. My husband and I took our son and my mother in law out for dinner. My husband has placed call in orders there before but we had never dined in. Since we were looking for something different, we decided to try it out. NEVER AGAIN!!!! My husband and I are an interracial couple and you can generally gauge the environment when you walk into the room.(My husband and my mother in law were the only people of color in the restaurant.) I should have followed my gut and walked right back out the door. Upon entering, a gentleman walks out of the back of the restaurant and walks around checking on the other guests but never once even acknowledged us. Eventually, a little young girl came to the table to take our order and since we only saw her wait on our table and one other, I am led to believe they sent her out there because they didn't want to be bothered with us. After ordering, the older lady behind the counter made her rounds talking to all the other guests but never once acknowledged our presence. She was asking if they needed refills, blah, blah, blah and coincidentally, I was sitting there with an empty glass. My son had to bring it to the attention of the little girl who waited on us before I ever got a refill. After about 30 to 40 minutes of waiting, we finally received our food. Three of us had smothered fries, the chicken on my mother in law's and my son's was cold. You could tell they had been sitting somewhere for a little bit because they were luke warm and the cheese on top was already getting hard. My husband's hush puppies looked as though they had been fried once and dropped back in the grease to warm them up. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had and I am almost certain they held our food as long as they could to make sure we never came back. Some people won't take the time to write a review but this girl has no problem letting the rest of the hardworking folks out there know, especially if you are a person of color, that this restaurant isn't it. Those smothered fries were definitely NOT as good as we were led to believe and you get more fries in a large order at McDonald's than we had, for $10.00. Do yourself a favor, if you are looking for some of the best food in Hamilton, Alabama, go next door to O'Bryan's. Our family has visited that establishment many times, as well as hosted birthday parties there and have always been made welcome. But J \u0026 V Ole Smokehouse is NOT it. If you are looking for some rude folks and some less than mediocre food, well then it is the place for you.

We enjoyed the BBQ ribs, slaw, and potato salad. The service was also great.
The chicken was extremely dry to the point that it was inedible. Maybe they were having a bag day but to drive 2.5 hours to try it, I wouldn't recommend the drive unless you live there. The salad was nothing to brag about and the fact that the kids meal came with juice boxes(and they didn't have any either, but were charged for the whole meal was not a good customer service move). I really wouldn't recommend this place. 3 stars was for the salad bar variety that they had but not the quality of the salad bar. Perhaps in another life I'll try them again.

The chicken was extremely dry to the point that it was inedible. Maybe they were having a bag day but to drive 2.5 hours to try it, I wouldn't recommend the drive unless you live there.
