This place was HORRIBLE. I came in with high expectations because I heard someone say how good it was. Maybe I'm at the wrong place. The LG bbq plate was sorry looking. I'm afraid to see how little the small plate I'd. The meat was AWFUL!!! And it was watery. How is smoked meat watery? The tea was so sweet I had to ask for unsweetened just to drink it. The bbq sauce was also too sweet and gross. The beans are ok but they are canned so. The salad and baked potatoe was good though. Won't EVER be back unfortunately. The waitress was AMAZINGLY sweet.

Food is decent but sides were pitifully small on our to go order. Barbecue plate and chicken liver plate. Two pieces of pie. Over $31.00 and had to add salads at home to not be hungry.

I used to go here all the time in college. I just recently moved back to Cullman and thought I’d stop by on a Saturday around lunch with my kid. There were only 2 other patrons. We ordered a steak plate and grilled cheese. The cheese on the grilled cheese wasn’t melted and it was cold by the time we got it. Not a huge issue, but still. The issue was the steak…it smelled rotten. Thought maybe it was my nose so I went ahead and took a bite of it. I immediately spit it out. The potato was either microwaved or had been sitting a while. It was hard and cool. The toast they put with the plate felt like play dough. Not sure how that happened. My waiter was friendly and quick. The cashier and I guess manager on duty were also fantastic. I harbor no hard feelings toward the employees at all. I told them I would still pay for the plate anyway. They were kind enough to remove it though. I absolutely hate having to say anything, but man at that point it was a food safety issue. They salad was pretty good.

Excellent foodVery tasty ribs, beans, and potato salad. Even the ice tea was fresh and refreshing. A lot of good choices on the menu.
We ordered food at 5:45pm we didn't get any ranch for salad we got tarter sauce instead no sauce for our hamburger steak an the meat had a Wang to it it tasted terrible we will never be back it used to be a great place to eat what happened to it terrible food for a high price need to get this

BBQ tasted like it was boiled. No flavor. Baked beans were good. Sweet tea was very sweet.
Spent almost $15 on a to-go plate. I ate everything they gave me and I am still hungry. The side of potatoe salad was the smallest star foam container I have ever seen!! The pulled pork tasted like it was made days before with hardly any seasoning. This place advertises hickory smoked bbq.. I couldn't tell.. I could have made better in my oven at home...Don't go to this place if you expect to leave with a full belly...

Well I called at 730 to place a BBQ plate pick up order and they told me that they had done shut the kitchen down and couldn't take any more orders . But it was a Friday night and I was a repeat customer who ate there once a week or more. I won't be back just because how rude they were about it!!! Don't get me wrong the food is great just don't try to order anything after 7pm or you will be turned away. It was much better when the original owner that built the place was still there. His name was butch Luna and he had also cut my hair when I was a little bot cause he was a barber before he opened his BBQ place. So all said from now on I'll go to top hat BBQ in Blount springs AL, food service and everything is great there so please try it instead people!!!!
