I feel for the owners of this place. You only get one chance to make a first impression and the impression we have is there are better Italian options just down the road in Decatur. The food was average, but nothing extra. The dish I had (Chicken Marsala) was not as good as the two main Italian options in Decatur. The bread was not as good as the two main Italian options in Decatur. The salad cost extra unlike the Decatur options and the salad was not as good as the Decatur options. I was hoping for better results. Perhaps they will improve over time.

This place has tasty lasagna but in child size portions and the tiniest pieces of bread I've ever seen in an Italian Restaurant Server was incredibly slow and unattentive. I told her I wanted extra mozzarella on my lasagna and it was brought out without the extra cheese so I sent it back. It took her 15 minutes to correct something that should have been a 5 minute job while I'm back at my table fighting a fly for control of the table. They have no booths like a normal Italian Restaurant just hard high back chairs and tables. Also no pizza and no alcohol (for those who care about alcohol with a meal). The wife had the Manicotti which was good but again a child sized portion and also 2 pieces of the world's tiniest bread. The bread pieces could literally fit on top of an Eisenhower Silver dollar. All of this and 2 drinks for$31.00 I figure this place will close in a month if they don't improve on food portions, seating quality and service because people in Hartselle won't go to a place where the portions are an absolute ripoff the seating is uncomfortable and harassed by flies.

I was so looking forward to a nice Italian restaurant in Hartselle to sit down and have a nice meal. We walked in and the rude woman behind the counter hollers it will be 5-10 minutes (when there were at least 5 open tables), so you stand at the door literally. No thank you for coming in nothing. First off, you get your salad in a tiny styrofoam container at $5 a pop, watered down tea $3. When I told the waiter I didn't want it to go, he said that is the way it is served because they prepare all the food in the morning - so the salad sits in the frig with the croutons in it so they are all soggy by the time you eat it. So not a good start. Then they bring the appetizer of mozzarella sticks - they were the most cheapest frozen things I have ever eaten; with absolutely no flavor ($10). Then your food is on a styrofoam/paper take-out plate and the portions are very small. They give you two pieces of literally 1" x 2" hard bread. When I asked her if they had garlic bread she said no, what was on my plate was it (again rudely). My husband only had a tasteless caesar salad (yes, in the same take-out container), I had lasagna and a tossed salad, and then the two teas and cheese sticks. That was $45 for awful food. That was the first and last time we will go there.
