My wife and I drove there from Hamilton Alabama which is about an hour and a half away. This place was recommended to Us by someone who who lived in the area.
When you walk in it's like a plethora of oddities. It really is almost like walking into someone's attic because you see things here and there. We both my wife and I had the same thing and we split a hot dog. The food was fantastic and it came out pretty quickly. The only setback is some of the chairs...
This place is a blast from the past. The decor is vintage and elicits a feel of nostalgia the moment you walk in the door. From the old fashioned CocaCola signs to the seasonal Halloween decor, it has a nice vibe. The food is delicious and southern. I recommend the fried green tomatoes.
When you're looking for a quirky, eccentric restaurant with excellent food and impeccable service in Hartselle, Alabama, this is the place. Every experience I've had here has been exceptional. This trip i tried the chicken cordon blue with fried green beans, my husband had the rueben sandwich on rye and my daughter had a big thick juicy hamburger. All meals were delicious and yes I tried them all! We had a HUGE slice of chocolate cake too which tasted like devils...
