The service was excellent and the food was even better! I suggest getting the Hawaiian Quesadillas. They were so good. My husband tried the tacos and he said they were awesome.???? We will definitely be back soon!

Ordered one of their bowls. The worst food. First, it came on a plate(why call it a bowl), second, the plate was full of water which absorbed into all the food on the plate. Now it’s inedible. Need to say I could. Not eat any of it. Price $14.99. They gave me a $2.00 discount instead remaking it or removing it. After tax I still paid $14 for something I could not eat.

If you live in or near Hartselle, or are traveling through, I found a great Mexican restaurant for you.I am very picky about Mexican food. Well, let's be honest. I am picky about food, in general. But, my sister had been telling me about this place. So, we met for my sister's birthday.The salsa is on good. It ranks among some of the better ones i have tried. But, the queso bean dip was on point. It was something new for me.I had the nacho supreme. It was very good. The food was fresh and well-prepared. The atmosphere is very clean and well decorated. The staff is quick to respond.I would definitely add this to your list if you need a fresh and tasty Mexican spot to eat consistently good food in a fun environment.

best place ever! food was amazing, service was even better! me and my friends will never eat at another place again!! we got the taco salad, the number 12 combo (which is three different entrees), a steak quesadilla with rice and a large cheese dip for only around 50 dollars! would give more stars if i could!

The food was tasty. Service wasn't great but fair if wasnt so busy may have been better. It was extremely busy and loud. That's good for them but not appetizing for me. Seating was horrible. I could barely get up. Just so hard and killed my back and bottom. I don't mind trying again but will not sit in booth and have to see when not so busy. They may need to increase location size.
In my humble opinion El Portal is better.Atmosphere was nice, food was mid quality at best. I had the Lunch Special #1. My go to at any Mexican place. The chile relleno was soggy and I was not impressed. The meat in the taco wasn’t seasoned well. The only thing worth coming back for would be the salsa.The server could tell my wife’s frozen margarita was not frozen at all and just syrup. She then offered to replace it for free. Our food came out before our appetizer and I had to ask about it. I think she had forgotten.Overall not a great experience. I will be sticking to my old faithful across the street.

Our waitress was very attentive and addressed our every need enthusiastically and attentively!This is the third time we have eaten here and it was the first time the owner/manager did not come out and check on us.
