My husband and I stopped in tonight on our way to Nashville. First time eating here, the bourbon brown sugar ribeye was the best steak I have ever eaten! The food and service were excellent. We will definitely be back.
The hamburger steak was very good. The potatoes were freshly made, most places they are lumpy and cold. The onion straws were fresh and good. The waitress was attentive and friendly.
Late lunch today and had the pleasure of having Lauren as our server! She was friendly, knowledgeable and so sweet and genuine ♥️ And the food? AMAZING! 10/10 would recommend
We came in today about 1:30, and the restaurant closes at 2 pm on Sundays, which I didn't look at until I was almost there, lol. We were greeted very warmly and our server, Lauren, was just incredible. The salad was fresh and the food was wonderful. I can't wait to come back!!
The country fried steak special on Thursday was phenomenal! Erika took care of us!

We will start from the beginning.
The walk up to the front door is already setting up the atmosphere with the old wood and bricks, you start to feel time and history beckoning you in. Upon entering, the lighting is darker, setting the mood, getting you comfortable, you're greeted by the host and seated. Our waitress was social and sweet, although a little overwhelmed because she was new to waitressing, she did amazing. Promptly bringing our drinks and salads. The dressing for thr salads was too good. I should have known then, we were in for it. A few minutes go by, long enough for my bf and I to finish our salad and discuss our plans for the day when our food arrives. We both ordered the 12oz ribeye. I ordered the onion straws and sweet potato casserole. He ordered pinto beans. Everything was beautifully presented. The onion straws were crunchy and flavorful to the last bite. The sweet potato casserole made me whole body shiver with pleasure. A mouthgasm so epic that my bf had to stop me from ordering seconds. I now have a spiritual need for that sweet potato casserole. As I considered making that my appetizer and main course for our next visit, I cut my steak. I honestly could have cut it with my fork it was so tender. That first bite sent me over the edge and I had to grab the table to hang on to the world. Blessings from the universe upon the cook of the steak, and his family. This was the most flavorful, tender, lovingly prepared steak I have ever consumed and I welcomed it into my body. Oh! The pleasure of eating it had me transcending time and spac. The gods themselves have visited the cook in his dreams and shared with him these recipes, mere mortal could never.
Without hesitation we tipped our wonderful waitress a crisp $20, make sure you tip your waitress well! I immediately needed a nap when arriving home. There was too much to digest physically and spiritually and my mortal brain needed to rest and reflect upon the experience.
100/10 recommend.

What a cool historical building! The food and the service were both outstanding but the atmosphere is just perfect for a history nerd. I almost didn't care what they served.

Awesome food and staff.
I had breaded shrimp, catfish fingers, fries with melted cheese and bacon bits.
Wifey had Tuscan chicken, mashed potatoes, mandarin orange pretzel salad. Italian cream cake.
Oh, the sweet tea was the best we've drank in a long time.
Mandy was a top notch server!
Absolutely all of it was great!

Drove over from Cedar Bluff to have a meal & it was worth the drive. Historic building with a lot of character, the food was fantastic, & the service was great.
