This is the second time I have been here. The food and service was top notch each time!! We have a church group that comes down from Tennessee and enjoy the drive and atmosphere. The only complaint I have is, the first time visited we had menus and this time we did not!!!! The host had a very limited menu written on a chalk board for us to choose from. Several of our group didn’t like that. That limited menu was without the prices also.

Catfish is way too small for the price..The trainmaster steak seems to not be as good it used to be, as it lacks seasoning & size factor...I guess it's a reflection of the new menu.Garden Salad was lacking tomatoes and ranch dressing is good.
Had a great dinner here with my friend! It was a bit pricey but it was so worth the experience!! I will definitely be dragging more people here!!

Food was very good. I had the 12oz ribeye. Loved when the train came by. They said the restaurant had 13” brick walls and 8” concrete floors you don’t hear the train coming by the restaurant. Cool.

We love trains, and the CSX mainline is right next to the restaurant. The reuben pannini was good but not a classic reuben.

We had eaten there a couple of weeks ago thought it was great ..Had a conference in town so we took another couple today..Food was okay, our Chicken was greasy and two plates came with the wrong sides..Waitress quickly replaced them..Two people had cold slaw which had more mayo than cabbage..maybe we just picked a wrong day..Parking: The parking at the Freight House was filled thus we had to park down the street that was not paved..

Excellent food and service. We ate late lunch at 1pm with no wait but only a couple tables were open. I had the Island Mahi Mahi and my wife had the Grilled Shrimp. Both were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The sides were great. Blakely was a great waitress. We will definitely be back to try the steaks next. Also loved the atmosphere of an early 1900s train station with trains passing by twice while we were there.
