The food was very good, the scenery was amazing I loved the decorations. Our waiter sussana, was amazing. Good portions, little family own the place and they are super nice. Food was very good. Many tvs ? to watch TV while you eat. Comfortable booths. Very nicely priced, the pricing wasn't bad for a lot of portions. I recommend. The fried California roll. I hope you try this place out

First off, this review has nothing to do with the fault of the waitress. She did very well considering the rest of the experience.The Gyoza was decent but clearly pre-packaged. The takoyaki was literally raw batter in the inside. My daughter and I had sushi rolls for lunch and the flavor was as underwhelming as you could get. My miso soup had more complex and nuanced flavor than anything else we had there. The unsweetened tea actually had an aftertaste that resembled tobacco.While the waitress was attentive, three different tables that got seated ten to fifteen minutes after us got their food in half the time. It shouldn't take any halfway decent sushi chef half an hour to make four rolls. (Especially as bland as they were.)If you want anything resembling even halfway decent sushi, go elsewhere.I have no idea what the people who say this place has the best sushi in Alabama have been eating. Fishing bait or something. But they clearly don't have any idea what sushi is.

The nicest home owned restaurant North Alabama should cherish! The bathroom has a 1-hour check list for making sure everything is nice & clean.. every hour. Also it shows the level of try & care in what their doing! Seafood, especially Sushi rolls taste like it's straight from The Gulf, less than 24 hrs from catch. *I know this bc my dad's family is from the Eastern Seaboard - and having multiple "traditional" Chinese meals, you notice the freshness of the steamed / raw / chilled seafood. This establishment is the only restaurant I've tasted that outside NYC and other Coastal cities with daily hauls coming in fresh 365.Great value, $12 lunch special is a load of food on combo's. Very well run establishment! I'll be back.. soon!Vegetarian options: Ordered veggie rice mix, insanely fresh and muy delicioso!Dietary restrictions: Insulin dependent type 1 diabetic. No problems.
