The food is amazing. I got steak fajitas, chicken and rice and esquites (corn). However, the customer service sucks. I approached the window and the guy working just looked at me. I stood there for a few minutes watching him go to the other window and proceed cleaning although he glanced beforehand. I continued standing before lightly knocking on the window. He looked again then went back to what he was doing. I drove around to the other side and had to wait yet again before he approached me.

Have noticed Gordo’s for quite some time but never stopped by. Stopped by twice this week. We’ve tried the Burrito, Quesadilla, and the tacos. All have been wonderful. We’ll be back often. The food is top notch!

If you are looking for Authentic tasting Mexican food that has not been "Americanized" by mellowing or dumbing down flavor, try this place. I bought the Birria plate and it was absolutely delicious. It was incredibly flavorful and moist. The rice was cooked to perfection and the beans were flavorful. They give you a lot of food for the price also. I paid $ 11.00 for a lot of food plus a small salad included. This place is much more authentic tasting than the more popular chain Mexican restaurants popping up all over Huntsville and definitely more so than those that have been here for years. The building is nothing to look at and you have to pull up to the side window to order because their drive thru speaker is not working, but that is not what's important. Give them a try. After more than 5+ years of relocating to Alabama from the West Coast (California native), I am happy to say that I have finally found a Mexican restaurant that is actually quite good. So far, I have only tried the birria, but I will definitely be going back to try some more plates in the near future. Buen Provecho!
This place is a gem. It’s all takeaway, but the quality and taste is definitely there. I had a burrito for lunch and had to skip dinner because it was quite large, and tasted too great to stop eating when I was full. I would recommend for a no frills, great food experience.
