I tried this place after reading about it on the Internet, where it was said to have some of the best fried chicken in the whole state. That part was right. Oh, man, it was good! I'm also very fond of their other items. Try the onion strips!!!!The atmosphere? Not so great. It's okay, but the place is always packed. Quite crowded.The service? Well, they try. Again, the place is always packed, so it's hard to keep up. Most folks don't order from the menu, but instead go to the buffet. This means that you don't have a long wait if you order from the menu, but the line at the food bar is long and moves excruciatingly slowly.They're also a bit snippy if you request plastic silverware.The hours of operation are weird. They're closed on Saturday! They're only open from 11-3 on Sundays to catch the church crowd, and they close at 7:30 every other night. They also close from 2-4 every weekday. I think maybe that's why the place is packed when it's open; they force everyone to come in a limited window.It's worth it, though. Their chicken really is the best in the whole county, and the other stuff is also mighty fine.If I ran this place I would expand into a new building. Hahahaha! They need more room. I'd add another serving table to cut the line in half. Finally, it would be great if they had some sort of dipping sauce for the onion strips. They're already fantastic, but sauce makes everything better.

Stopped for food. We were looking for a family owned restaurant. Found this one on Google. Parking lot was full. Checked in with the hostess. I think the wait was about 20 minutes. They had a self serve buffet as well as menu. We ordered from the menu. The burger was well cooked with their mustard slaw and cheese. Ordered sweet potatoes fries to go with the burger. It was very good. Will stop again when we travel through the area.
