Dots Soul Food Restaurant

We absolutely loved this place! The food was so good, everything was delicious! Everyone working there was so friendly and made sure to give plenty of food for each plate. If we go back thru this area, we will definitely be back there again.

We visited on a Sunday . The menu had alot of choices . I tried the turkey and dressing wirh gravy, turnip greens and speckled butter beans. My husband had mac and cheese , fried chicken , fried okra , candied yams. The place is set up in a line and you make choices the servers make your plate. They are trying to get you through the line quickly which I understand but some of the ladies are really rude..The turkey , beans and greens were good . The dressing has no seasoning . The fried okra was soft, not fried hard like we like it. The mac n cheese is horrible. The tiny cornbread muffins are hard and dry. The butter pecan cake and banana pudding were really good.. I would come back to try some of the other menu items because the things that were good were really good.

This is a place you go to get authentic Alabama cuisine served family style. Welcoming service and a relaxed diner feel that way completely refreshing compared to big chain restaurants. Price was great and food was delicious as well cooked. Definitely recommending this place .

This restaurant is like the only restaurant around but well worth the drive and wait to come across it the food the service the women can’t tell you which ones was the most excellent and best. The home-cooked food was enough to make me want to go dig my mama up out her grave smack her there was three of us in our group we all had different things & we all 3 enjoyed our food so much you know the saying “ when No ones talking the food is good “ well our table was pretty silent outside of us talking about how good the food was No Joke

Stopped by on our way home and we’re so happy we did. Fried chicken, broccoli n cheese, turnip greens, cornbread and dessert. So yummy! We’ll be back

Man, if you love food go get it here, it’s like going home for supper. Real food, prepared real good, and wait staff is on top of it too. Dot has this place running like a top.

Parking: Large gravel lot plenty of space for my work truck and trailer at lunch time

Kid-friendliness: They are super patient with the kids, talk directly to them, all smiles for the kiddos and the staff. It’s like being at aunties house.

Catfish and coleslaw were great. The Mac & cheese was a bit sweet. Service was excellent. I will go back.
