I tried to make a small purchase for a family gathering. My daughter was with me. The employee refused to sell to me because she said she thought I was trying to buy it for my daughter. I explained that was not the case and my daughter left the building but she still refused and was condescending and unapologetic. The sign on the door says if you are under 21, you must be accompanied by an adult…but evidently if you have someone under 21 with you, you will not be allowed to make a purchase and will be treated poorly. I appreciate guarding against selling to minors but this was obviously not what was going on.

Very disappointed in the State of Alabama liquor stores they are having trouble keeping their shelves stocked. Employees blame it on the distributors but when I went to GA they don't seem to be having the same problem.

Nothing really stands out about this location as exceptional, really that tends to be the case for all ABC Select Spirits locations. That isn't a bad thing, they are all set up pretty similar, which makes it simple to shop from location to location. The staff here will probably not engage with you unless you are making a purchase, but they are plenty friendly enough when you do make a purchase. Stock on hand seems to be, for the most part, pretty good. They have every type of liquor that you will need for that next concoction. They also have some pre-mixed drink selections that you can check out, so you don't have to try and get creative (or messy) at home. Prices are the best you'll find for liquor anywhere in the state (all these stores are prices similar), so it's a good place to pinch a penny or two when making a purchase. All in all not a bad location, I'd recommend them.

Found this place on yelp, was looking for an ABC store close to work. This way I can run over on my lunch hour and pick up what ever I needed for a party or what ever occasion we were having. The prices her are exactly the same as any other ABC, the staff is friendly but if you need help you will have to ask. The selection is decent as they carry a wide variety. I usually get a handle as I am making some kind of drink for a party. For me this is the only store I visit now as it is close and quick, especially if you know what you want. My typical time in store is less than 5 minutes. And for me that is a plus right there, when you are on your lunch hour and wry minute counts.

These people are full blown Aholes! Says they are open till 8. It was a min before 7. And the big black guy came to the door saying they were closing as he went to lock the door. Their map is also incorrect and misleading on yelp. I was up summit. I explained I needed one thing for someone that is detoxing. And can not go cold turkey per dr instructions. All true. He locked the door and walked away w a smirk. I am So sick of the attitude the black people seem to have here with every white upper class person. They are doing and only repeating the same they have fought for and condemned from past history in reverse w a chip on their shoulders to get even. I would have not believed it myself being from Chicago and now in CA since 1977 had I not experienced it several times while here (15 weeks out of 6 months splitting my time) at restaurants and commonly w lower end job positioned employees. I am not saying all black people are this way. I am not ignorant. But there is definitely a "stick it to the whitee" mentality here! So much for Southern hospitality!
