Baba Java Coffee - Hoover

Amazing coffee and great staff. The espresso drinks and baked goods are awesome, and I love the atmosphere. It's very open and bright - great for hanging out with friends or taking a break from work. I have found it a little bit difficult to focus there if I'm trying to study or work, but if I'm just looking to hang out or do some light reading or journaling it's great. Highly recommend.

Parking: It can be tough to find a spot at lunchtime because of the other restaurants. Any other time of day there is plenty of parking.

The coffee is fabulous! I travel to Birmingham occasionally and this is my “must have coffee” stop when I am in town. I have had a variety of their espresso based drinks but favor the breve cortado as my go to order. Everyone has been pleasantly friendly. Excellent customer service.

Cute place for fresh homemade popsicles. The atmosphere was very fresh and inviting. The coffee was perfectly brewed,and the popsicles were yummy!

Let me start with a positive review. Baba Java is one of my favorites. The coffee is always amazing and I love all the seasonal flavors. The only thing I would like Baba Java mainly the Hoover location to work on is their curbside service. Several times now I have placed a curbside pick-up order and I’ll leave a tip because they will be bringing it out to me but when I get there I have to go in myself to get my order because no one brings it out and I always find all the employees standing and talking. Just a little frustrating. Other than that small complaint I’m happy with Baba Java and I’ll continue to drink Baba Java lattes because it’s one of the best in town. Pumpkin pie latte is a 10/10! ✨

Baba Java Coffee is my top choice for lattes in Birmingham. The staff is consistently friendly, and the lattes are always excellent. I highly recommend the Maple Brown Sugar, Honey Cinnamon, and Camel lattes. A standout feature is that they always include latte art on to-go orders—a small detail that reflects their commitment to quality. I’d love to see more latte options added to their menu in the future. Seating and parking is plenty. Well maintained cafe.

Cold brew was not very good. It tasted like my left out reheated coffee then cooled. They didn't care to provide a replacement.

I love a good coffee shop, especially when traveling! Baba Java had a nice layout, everything looked clean and organized, the staff were friendly and most importantly the drink was delicious. Grabbed a breakfast croissant also, which was really tasty and surprisingly inexpensive! Would highly recommend!

Hands down my favorite coffee spot in the Birmingham area. The signature drinks are amazing as well as the seasonal lattes they make throughout the year.
