Been working our way through all the Cajun places in the area, and this one's a keeper! Busy, but not packed at lunchtime on a Saturday. Nice cross between a sportsbar and slightly more upscale tavern atmosphere, with a patio that adjoins the bar in nice weather. Staff was very friendly, and food was ready quickly.

Ordered a cup of gumbo, cup of jambalaya, calamari, hushpuppies, and bread pudding. All were great, and the calamari included the squid tentacles as well as body, which hasn't been common in our experience.

Being dead @ 8:00 on a Saturday night, should have been our red flag. Service was great and that's about it. We ordered 2 apps and an entrée. Putting shrimp on or in everything doesn't make you cajun. It's declined so quickly since it opened. It's cluttered, dingy and dirty. Also when you sell 1 crab cake for 21.00 and have printed on your menu.... THAT YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU ORDER EVEN IF YOU DONT LIKE IT. Is a huge turnoff. We won't be back

So the former owner of cajun steamers is the owner here glad I found this out. When I tell you I missed the Flav that this owner brought to the table I mean literally. 😅 good to know this! Food was definitely phenomenal 😋

Great food choices. Atmosphere was okay. They were crowded we had a short wait. We had Boudin balls, Calamari, Wicked Chicken and Mardi Gras pasta. Boudon balls were great, came out hot. Calamari was fried well but there were too many thick unchewable tentacle pieces. I despise when any restaurant cops out and uses penne pasta instead of fettuccine or any of the other many pasta choices. The big overcooked penne looks like your getting a plate full of food but little else with it. Just as expected the big pasta had little else with it. The Mardi Gras party of shrimp, chicken and sausage were missing in a big way. It came with two planks of previously grilled and kept warm bread that was inedible. Very disappointed. Esp for a entree over $20. The Wicked Chicken was much better great flavor and more satisfying serving. Doubt I'd go again this was the 2nd visit and didn't surpass the first disappointing visit.

If your policy is all sales are final you should inform your customers. It's not fair that if a customer finds that the food or is not their satisfaction based on quality, appearance, and portion size that are stuck with a bill that can't even be rectified by an exchange or gift card. Very bad for business.
