Full Moon BBQ in Hoover is truly one of those places that makes you feel at home the moment you walk through the door. From the food to the hospitality, everything is consistently 100%. The food is always right, always hot, and always delicious. If you’re looking for real Southern barbecue done right, this is the place.
I have to give a huge shoutout to Manager Paul and his entire staff. Paul leads with excellence, kindness, and genuine care for his customers, and it shows in every interaction. He and his team go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels welcomed, valued, and taken care of. The customer service here is unmatched — warm, attentive, and consistent every single visit.
My family and I are always welcomed with open arms, and that means so much. There’s something special about walking into a restaurant where you’re not just another customer, but treated like family. The hospitality is top-tier, the atmosphere is comforting, and the experience is always enjoyable from start to finish.

Always great food! Exceptional service as well. We love eating here and have never had a bad experience. My husband gets the pulled pork and I usually get the chicken tenders. Never a complaint!!

We frequent this location and have yet to have a bad experience. The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Mr. Tony makes us feel like family and we always leave smiling with full bellies!

This was my second time having the brisket from this location and it was absolutely horrible each time I have received over cooked brisket that can not be ate the pieces have been tuff covered in bbq sauce, now last night I did go around 7pm when I got off work. Service here is always great but my last two times getting the brisket was a complete disappointment

Amazing service! My entire family, including three children loved the staff here who were gracious, kind and courteous. My 9 year old even loved the staff. Tony was the most genuinely nice guy I’ve met in service industry. He has a big heart for the people he serves and the food that he makes The food was great. Great BBQ flavor with the right amount of wonderful wood smoke without being overpowering. The sauce sweet but hinting at spiciness. The Big Baker was huge and felt like a blessing on a cold day. Kids had chicken fingers and pulled pork all exceptional. Must try Macaroni too. highly recommend this place!

I gave the atmosphere 4 out of 5 stars because Fox News was the only station shown. As a former restaurant manager I always made sure both Fox and CNN were on. Either you have both stations on or no news at all.
I ordered Half Rack Ribs, loaded baked potato and baked beans on a drive thru. Excited and hungry, instead of the ribs im expecting, i got a pulled pork and i dont know what else is in it. I guess somebody is happy eating the ribs!!!

We lost our daughter at 36 to breast cancer. We needed to have our celebration of life catered. We went to the Hoover location for catering services.Tony was extremely caring and helpful. He suggested items we would need for about 50 people. Everything was exactly as he promised. The food arrived on time as was packed very nicely and we had everything we needed. The food was awesome and everyone left the reception happy and full. Thanks again Tony and we will recommend to everyone.

Service and atmosphere was exceptional. It was a great spot to sit at. However, the food was subpar compared to the quality I was used to compared to previous locations. In all a decent place to eat if you're willing to gamble with the food quality.
