Was disappointed the staff turned our party away. We had about 6 patrons total, there was a customer in the store finishing up their purchase and after walking in we were informed they were closed. (6:06pm, 6 minutes after closing) I understand where they are coming from by only wanting to business during operating hours. If you have people willing to buy pricy cupcakes you are just going to discard and you turn them away, seems like poor business and customer service to me.
I love this place probably a little too much. Always delicious & super appreciate their military discount!
I agree with those posting overrated. I don't know why we keep buying from this place. Loaded with tons of sugar on the top and the actual cake part is never really as good as you could make at home. I could make 12 for the price of one. Got 3 s'mores tonight and the cake was a bit stale and not very good. In addition the receipt has a line to leave a tip. Are you kidding me? At nearly $4 per cupcake, they need to pay their staff more and not ask me for tip for someone reaching into a cabinet and putting a cupcake in a box. It's a bit over the top. I don't plan to buy any more cupcakes from there.
SO OVERRATED! Not a really good cupcake honestly. Publix bakery cupcakes are 10x better! Over rated, over priced & over iced! I do not know why people insist on saying, "You must have a GiGi's cupcake, they are the best"! Because in my book and many people that I know agree, that they are FAR from the best. The cake part is moist, but not that flavorful and they overdo the frosting bigtime. I could frost 3 cupcakes with the amount they put on 1 cupcake. Not good at all. Sorry GiGi's, you are not a top notch bakery. SOURCE: Bought a strawberry cupcake from GiGi's a few years back and wasn't thrilled at all, specially for the price. Since then, I have had about 4 more (ones that people have had at parties and such) and I just ate a chocolate one like 10 minutes ago, every single one was the same, not good.
This place was good, but no where near $4 per cupcake good! I think that's how much they were. There weren't prices on anything! Not the cupcakes, not the cookies, not the drinks. I would have just walked away if I wasn't with a group. I didn't even get a receipt to know how much they cost. Summary: there are a lot better desserts for cheaper.
