I guess each day is a hit or miss according to reviews or people just want to be petty because so many expect perfection at a fraction of the cost. Nevertheless I had sesame chicken and it was outstanding. Best sauce hands down on the chicken

Human Garden used to be the GO TO for Chinese food. Now, not so much. The food seems to be o.k. still but not what it used to be. A couple of days ago make a call in order, they ONLY do take out now. Ordered one of my favorites, Beef in Garlic sauce. It Used to be beet, bamboo shoots and a rich brown garlicy sauce. It changed to include carrots and celery a while ago, but the sauce was the same. This time it was like chewing straw, the celery was so fibrous it was almost inedible. Sad. This used to be one of my favorites. I also ordered hot and sour soup. Again, not bad, but not what it had once been. The flavor was weak. Not rich and flavorful as it once was. Plenty of pepper taste, but the chicken broth and sesame oil were weak. Almost like a thickened water than chicken broth. I've noticed the two women that I've seen over the decades that I've been visiting Hunan haven't been there the past few times. Maybe this is just the natural progression of a business. The parents start the business and make it successful by sticking to good recipes and maintaining high quality food. Now that the next generations are in charge, corners are being cut and what once was the STANDARD is just another o.k. take out place... not even a full fledged restaurant.
Parking: Hoover on Hwy 31 in front of Hobby Lobby.

I used to frequent this place fairly often. Over the last few years, I've preferred Mr. Lin's in Helena.
I decided to try them again. I bought 2 sfr, 1 sesame chicken, 1 appetizer platter, 1 Mongolian beef, 1 egg drop soup, 1 order of fried sweet donuts.
The food was ready in about 20 minutes. It was neatly bagged and stapled. I remember them being notoriously selfish with their soy sauce packets so I asked for extra. She gave me three (3). I said, "Three? They'll use that on one plate." She gave me 3 more and said something back about "one plate". I left.
I got home and opened the bag. True to form, there were only about 7 ss packets in there. The food was unappealing, bland and greasy. The egg drop soup was decent. The sfr had undercooked chunks of onions in it. I could go on but why bother?
The place has dirty windows and is junky on the inside. It's needs a deep cleaning and updated. That's not always a deal breaker. HOWEVER, if the food is not done well and the service is subpar... what are you doing? Also, the woman in the front is kinda nice-nasty.
I'll never go back. 5/10. I can't recommend!

My general Tso's chicken tasted like it was fried in old fish grease. It is the only food I've ever ordered from Doordash that I immediately threw in the trash.

Chicken was not fresh and tasted very bland. Rice tasted stale. Quality has gone down. The vegetables tasted fine. I used to love their food.

Take out ONLY still after closing dinning room for Covid. Inside looks more like a Storage area. Lunch prices have gone up but Do still include egg rolls.
Beef and Broccoli was very hot and Broccoli was fresh. Beef looked more like chicken. Pease were yellowish DEFINITELY not fresh.. egg rolls were fried well but lacked the ingredients I had been used to before. Chicken Fried Rice was without seasoning.
Won't be back.

My Mongolian beef container was mostly noodles and onions. Hardly any beef. So many onions I couldn’t eat
Very disappointed because I was looking forward to the Mongolian beef I remember

Extremely rude service that refuses to give out the kitchen rating. Customer service is nonexistent. Language barrier is not an excuse for lack of decency when serving the public. Do not darken this doorway if you expect someone that cares enough about the customer, to understand and respect the lingo we all use in order to communicate in ??
