My disappointment experience at Mikey’s Grill. I Ordered The fish plate. It was a $35 bill. The salad came with two slices of cucumber two tomatoes in two pieces of onion the rest with greens lettuce. Now when I got my fish plate a fish with no bigger than a Palm for my hand that came with some kind of sauce and a ice cream scoop of crab meat.which I got maybe 15 bites out of it. I left there I went to a Chinese restaurant to have a meal. Ps The smell that comes out of the bathroom is unreal

My husband and I had a fabulous experience late this afternoon. We arrived right after they opened for dinner. We had attentive service and the seafood was cooked to perfection and the flavors were spot on. We will be back very soon.

Their lunch is the bomb, also they have very good gumbo. They do a chicken and sausage, which is really good, but I prefer the seafood myself. but it is a limited production, so it is very difficult to find the seafood gumbo.

I have always heard great things about Mikey's and was excited to finally dine here. Greeter was not friendly, but we had a reservation and was seated right away. Chris was a great, attentive server. Our drinks were good. Bread service was good. The rolls were fresh and hot. We split the diver scallop appetizer. They were cooked perfectly. The sauce was suppose to be a cajun cream sauce, but it was tasted less cajun and more like a lemon/butter cream sauce. I had snapper. Again, cooked well, but bland. It was supposed to be crusted with horseradish. We were assured that the flavor would be subtle, not too overwhelmimg. It was very underwhelming with no horseradish flavor at all. The shrimp on top was cooked well, but had little seasoning. My boyfriend had a rib eye. Bland and tough to chew. Bland night! It's a pretty place, not loud, very comfortable. I hate the food was just meh. But, this place has been there a long time, so a lot of people must like it.

This was our first visit and we enjoyed the service and the food tremendously. The fresh seafood and steak were cooked perfectly with fresh salad and lots of beer and wine to choose from. Everyone on the staff was friendly and went out of their way to help us with our selections and fill our drinks. It was louder than expected but the place was full. We saw some friends too and the local feeling was great. We will return for another special night!

We tried it because we like trying new places we haven't been before. This was good for a last minute Valentines dinner venue. The place was really noisy. My wife and I both ordered the filet with crabcakes. I ordered medium temperature and my wife ordered medium well. Mine was almost completely raw, and my wife's was cooked medium rare. For $40 each, look like we could have gotten steaks to our order. It was ok, but doubt if we will be back or even tell our friends about it.

This is normally one of our favorite places to eat. However, it just wasn't up to its normal standard this time. The food was good but it got cold really fast. The overall service was not like usual. While the restaurant was not very busy, our waiter did not come around very often and we had to wait a while for our check.

We joined another couple and had a great time. I had a special that had some tile, fish, crabcake and shrimp, and it was delicious. Our friends had crabcakes and said that they were some of the best they had ever had. the meal was excellent. The only reason that we did give a five star for service was our server was working so hard doing the best he could, but they were very busy. It was a very good experience.

Ambiance was ok. Service was a little slow and the two different fish entrees that two of us ordered had zero seasoning-and this is coming from people who Never add extra salt to their meals. Maybe it was an off night but spending over $50 for a $35 bland entree and glass of wine was very disappointing. My other friend said her gumbo was fine.

This was our first experience at Mikey's, but definitely not our last. The server was very good and explaining the night's specials. We chose the fried seafood platter and the roast elk. I asked that we split the seafood as an appetizer, and split the elk as our main course. They brought both ou together, which was not what we wanted. We made the best of it. The seafood platter had one crab cake. It was one of the best we have ever had. It was our first experience eating elk. It was delicious as was the risotto that came with it. All n all an excellent meal.

Mikey is awesome and the food is always top notch! Absolutely one of the best places in Birmingham to eat but you wouldn’t know it from the name. Make sure you try the homemade Godiva cheesecake!

Mikey's Grill has become one of our favorite restaurants. The food is second to none. It is Excellent! Also, Mikey's is a very freindly place. And the wait staff is great. The noise level is low enough to allow easy conversation, but not so low that you feel like you are in a library. I highly recommend Mikey's.
