let's face it they aren't very many great japanese/sushi restaurants in Birmingham. Osushi is probably the best in Hoover, maybe even Birmingham. The fish is always fresh the sushi is put together and presented properly and the customer service is always great. This is my go-to place for sushi.

I am a new customer and I was looking for a good sashimi and found O Sushi had 5 stars do I decided to give it a try I ordered a Sashimi player with Chef Choice of fish. I was disappointed when I saw the sashimi cut as a nigiri cut, there where 18 pc of Nigiri with out rice! They need to understand there are differences on the sashimi cut VS Nigiri cut and fish wasn't that fresh either. Me coming back? Nope

Horrible customer service. I placed an order online at 12:05 and arrived at the restaurant at 12:30 after being told it would be ready between 12:20-12:30. I'm still waiting at 1:05 even though they've taken several walk in orders who got their food right away. No apology no explanation. I do not recommend this restaurant and will not be back.

Perhaps a bit of a hidden gem, they consistently deliver excellent quality of food and service. I have eaten here many times over the years, and have never once been disappointed. It is obvious that the chefs take pride in quality and lovely presentation. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the interior is clean and modern with a very relaxing atmosphere. They even play cool music. Love it.

I would have given this place a 5 star for the food, but the service by a young female was questionable. I notice that she gave excellent service to a certain group of customers (not white or black). I was with a party of 3 and I also noticed another table not of my ethic background receiving poor and extremely slow customer service. However, there was 2 other tables of a similar ethic hertiage. My glass was empty and I was sitting just waiting. However, the young lady went by our table maybe 10 plus times to service the other table with customers that looked closed to her hertiage. The other table I noticed received no service either, but the 2 table of likeness were given continuous service and their glasses where kept full. She keep going back saying "is there anything else". I couldn't even receive "can I refill you glasses". Who knows...maybe the other customers had money and the waitresses wanted a good tip. But for me, I love the food but the service is little to no service. Maybe its in my mind...who knows. But I know what I saw and experienced.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I ordered food online last night and was told it would take 35 minutes. I got there around 35 minutes. I paid and left a tip (I shouldn't have left any tip) and waited. I ended up waiting over an hour for my food. The "hostess" or whatever you want to call her was incredibly unhelpful and seemed like she was a high schooler. It seemed like she was avoiding me so she wouldn't have to talk about how long it was taking. After an hour I finally got my food, and went to the car and realized my order was wrong. I went back in and STILL couldn't get anyone to help me. At this point I was livid. I regret paying for this and wish I had asked for a refund. When I got home and gave my husband his food, this was his $20 "Teriyaki Chicken" that looks like it was from a school cafeteria. The avocado in our sushi was also rotten. This is my first time ever leaving a bad review on any platform. I have eaten here many times and never had an issue but I will never be coming back.

Finally found a good sushi place in town! My husband and I went on a Saturday for lunch, not busy at all so was immediately seated. All the food was delicious. We ordered the beef fried rice appetizer, shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and futo rolls. Will definitely be back!

Service was well below acceptable. What seemed like a new employee could not remember drink orders and lost our order. My party waited for 45 minutes before being informed that 'the kitchen' lost our order. The manager continually pointed to our table to have us waited on but was never waited on, outside the initial drinks being served. We had asked for a refill, that never came while she assisted tables that just walked in. We witnessed her playing with the curtain and back area items before serving drinks to another table. When we were approached about the lost order, we said we were leaving and to pay for the drinks. It is appalling that after this experience we had to pay for drinks and was not asked to make it right. If employees are new, there should be someone watching over to ensure service does not fall below standards. Especially when you are the first ones that enter the restaurant and everyone after you is being serviced first. I do not recommend this location without proper staff who care for their patrons.

First time trying this place. Terrible food and customer service. Ordered fried rice, calamari, and Dynamite roll(fried). The rice was burnt, the calamari was too chewy to eat, and the sushi was soggy and just not good. Called to see what could be done and was told "that's the way it's supposed to be" and that I could "bring the food back to get a gift card". Refused to give me any or all of my money back under any circumstance. Won't be eating here ever again.
This was a great find. We ordered crab Rangoon for appetizer, steak hibachi, shrimp tempura roll, eel avocado roll. The food was good and so was the service. I would go back.

A man was coming out and I asked how was he said "best in Hoover" I would say best in Birmingham. It is so delicious I enjoyed all of it down to soup! Forgot to get a before picture but y'all get it!!! If you are searching look no further

I came here last week. It was an okay experience. This place is a lot smaller than I expected it to be, but the inside was very clean. You can sit at the sushi bar if you want to watch the chef make your rolls right in front of you. I tried the gyoza and the summer roll. The gyoza I did not like. I'm very particular with my seasonings and would not recommend it. The summer roll I loved and would totally recommend! Service was alright as well.
