Love this spot!!! It's very cozy and the staff is always nice. Went during lunch today and I asked the waiter for his recommendation and he suggested #'s 1-8 on the much menu. He also recommended the fajitas. I got chicken and shrimp. While waiting on the entree I had the cheese dip .Everything was very flavorful and fresh! I also tried the Ruiunite Rita which was super good. I don't drink red wine, but I will in this drink! The portion size was generous. I can only imagine what the dinner portion is like. I recommend this place to anyone.

Good service and really good food at a good price. I got the street tacos, one chicken and one chorizo and they were awesome. My son had the carne asada and loved it. Portions are huge.

Well, I am giving this a one star, because it wouldn't let me choose NO STARS! We had the worst experience/service I have ever had in my life. We arrived at Pablo's at 5:30, we ordered a drink. We received it about 6pm. It took OVER 1 hour to receive our 2nd one (and last one). It took 1.5 hours (yes that is NOT a typo)to receive our food!!! (And they were not crowded). At that time, only part of it came. THEN, we had no silverware to eat with nor any plates!! My husband took it upon himself to go get plates, chips, and salsa for the table because our waitress didn't exist. Nor did she follow up on why our drinks and food never arrived. We asked for the manager....which never came to the table so we went to look for him ourselves. We found him at the front...He then lied and said he wasn't the manager and couldn't help us. Then our waiter said, yes, he is the owner. He completely lied and did NOT care anything about the terrible service. We later found out we had talked to his wife (whom was an owner as well) and she said she couldn't help us. THE ONLY reason we ever go is for the location and to sit outside. I beg you, please do not give them your business. What turned out to be a fun night with friend/family, turned into the worst expedience ever! What owner can't even stand up for his owe restaurant??? We LOVE Las Trojas and La Paz. That will be our new go too!!

Fish tacos and pretty good 'ritas No outdoor action at this location, but still has live music inside on weekend evenings Also, browsing the window next door of Bike Link Hoover is a nice way to pass a moment of time.

Went on a wednesday night. Food was very good. They were short staffed but they had an attitude and very little patience.

This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant in this area. Awesome food, and the BEST tamales you've ever tasted! When you go, be sure to ask for Oscar, Pedro, or Stephanie! They are what truly makes this place special. While you are there, don't leave without trying Oscar's house margarita. You'll be hard pressed to beat it anywhere, at least in my opinion! Oh yeah, get the queso fundito as an appetizer. It is sinful!

Was excited to try this restaurant for the first time, went in and sat at the bar on a night that was not busy, and not one server addressed my guest and myself. Waited almost 15 minutes and nothing. Not even to get a water or chips and salsa. I understand this restaurant is in a shopping center, but that's no reason to act sub-par. Considering the amount of competitive Mexican restaurants located just within 5 miles of this place you'd think they would try harder!

My husband and I usually pop in here when we're in the mood for some chips and queso and tacos. It's not the best Mexican food I've ever tasted, but it's good enough to satisfy my sporadic cravings for chips/dip & tacos. I like to go on weekend nights because sometimes they have someone in there playing guitar and singing. I'm a s***** for live music, especially someone performing covers. The service is always quick. I've never waited too long for food. They usually have drink specials and the food is very inexpensive. I think it's a great spot if you want a casual dining experience.

This is the best Mexican place in Hoover. The chips and salsa are perfect! The staff and owner stay on top of taking care of you. Highly recommend the queso fundido. You may want to share it however. I have been here numerous times and have never had a bad experience.

My family and I ate there for lunch. Portions were surprisingly large at very affordable prices. Service was superb.

Our dinner here was not so good. The margaritas were bland. The service was not only slow, our server brought the wrong food to our table and it took quite sometime to wave him down to get the correct food. I ordered a bean burrito and cheese enchilada, which were fine, but nothing spectacular. My husband ordered a taco salad which was basically a pound of ground beef in a taco shell with a little bit of shredded lettuce on top. He said it had no flavor whatsoever. It just didn't seem like a salad at all. Doubt we will be back here again.

This restaurant single-handedly restored my faith in the restaurant fajita. Prices vary at most restaurants but the product is always the same, a few pieces of meat and a warm skillet full of greasy, limp vegetables. I got tired of being disappointed so I stopped ordering fajitas and settled for tacos or quesadillas. Pablo's has a great fajita from the side plate all the way through the heaping skillet of meat and sizzling veggies. They provide ample warm tortillas and the service is attentive without being overbearing. If you are looking for great fajitas at a very reasonable price look no further than Pablo's and the Pablo Fajita. (combination chicken/ steak/ shrimp)

It's pretty good Mexican food overall but the set up is just another box store. Since it is in a strip mall there is really limited outside seating and the inside is nothing fancy. I have only been once for Cinco De Mayo and of course the atmosphere is going to be a lot better on this day, but they really did offer good live music although there wasn't much room for them to set up inside. The staff actually managed to stay on par even with all the extra people that day which tell me they were prepared! I would go back, but it really isn't very close to where I live now!

Let me first just say that I never write reviews... Usually go to the Pablo's on 280 and always have the best experience. However, today we went with the family for a birthday party and had the worst experience. Service was terrible! Our waiter had a very "I don't care" attitude and messed up two of our parties orders from simply not listening. I get it people make mistakes, we didn't even send the food back because, really it's no big deal. Multiple times his vibe was unpleasant toward people in our party. What really got me so much so that I am writing this review is that as we were cutting the cake he came over and asked for a couple of pieces before we even finished cutting for our party and dishing them out. Of course, the person cutting said sure but they had to cut more prices for our party. Like, who does that??? I know that once we were done with our visit we would have happily offered the sever and his coworkers some cake but you don't interrupt while we are trying to serve ourselves so you and your buds can score some cake. It was incredibly rude! I was shocked! I truly regret. Or saying something to the guy. Just so he is aware of his rudeness for the future. He then gave us our checks and sat with other servers and totally ignored us until we left. Also, you pay up front and some of our party stood waiting for someone to cash them out for so long that they had to walk over to our server and ask to pay so we could leave since they were closing before dinner. AWFUL service, terrible experience, we were rushed out and ignored. Our party of 10 all agreed we will never, ever go back. 2 stars because I love the food at Pablo's, it's delicious.
