In my opinion they're Sicilian pizza is some of the best I've ever had. It's hard to find a Italian restaurant in Alabama that even knows what Sicilian pizza is let alone has it on the menu. If you plan on ordering a whole Sicilian pizza from this restaurant bring some friends and an appetite

Everything I’ve ever ordered has been great! They have a variety of lunch specials. All we have tried have been good. We also like to get Salvatore’s Special Slice. It’s a quite large slice and add one of their side salads and you’ve got a great meal. The house dressing is delicious. Service is good and the employees are friendly. They have indoor seating and outdoor covered seating. We have been eating there for years. Interior is kind of small and outdated but the food makes up for it.

I have truly debated leaving this review. However today I was hoping to order lunch for my staff from here and decided otherwise based my last experience at this location. I was trying enjoy a dinner at Sal's with my wife this past Saturday and we were extremely disappointed—not with the food, but with the atmosphere. While dining, I witnessed the one of the owners loudly yelling at her employees in front of customers. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and honestly hard to enjoy the meal with that kind of tension in the air. You could tell how stressed the staff was. As a business owner of 20 years I was appalled. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, especially staff who are clearly working hard. If management can't handle issues privately and with maturity, it casts a shadow over the whole experience. We won’t be returning anytime soon which is disappointing as I've been eating here since the 90's.
