The lunch special of meatloaf and three sides was excellent. The club poboy was very good but very large! It was a bit of a drive but worth it.

We came to Chef Troy's for a late breakfast, I had a San Fran omelette and my husband had a Denver omelet - both were fantastic! Everything was fresh, the staff was super friendly, and we even tried a watermelon pie! Not to be missed, delicious dessert)) We were only staying in the area for a couple of days, but definitely will be back to dine in this place on our next time around!

My mom and I both came on a very crowded Friday night but were waiting on here very quickly and got the food within a reasonable amount of time. Haley did a great job of waiting on our table quickly and was very friendly. We both ordered shrimp. I ordered the 1 lb and my mom ordered the coconut shrimp.
Best shrimp I've had in a long time, the coconut shrimp was great and the sweet potatoes were amazing.
Also loved the onion rings and the side salad

We buy all of our meat there, Hi quality, lowest prices. We ordered 1" thick ribeyes, cut them in half and turned 6 into 12. Each one is the perfect size!

Bangin'. Solid spot-on small town Americana eats right here. Seriously down-to-earth grit you can sink your teeth in. Packed with locals and seasonal lake residents alike w/ ppl steadily streaming in well after 8pm even, sun-kissed and hungry from being on the water (be prepared for a reasonable wait). Food delicious. Menu varied. You'll want to try it all, trust me. Eyeball the other tables' orders. Server "Cricket" brings her A-game personality. Nostalgic atmosphere. Priced accordingly--not cheap, but worth it. Worth my drive up here and am sold on returning.

Visited Saturday evening, the food was wonderful as usual! I ordered the shrimp basket (which is Gulf shrimp, which is hard to find in North Alabama). The shrimp is always perfection! Everything else is always good. I tried my boyfriend's Catfish (he ordered the catfish plate) and it was wonderful as well. The service is always great. Cricket is my favorite waitress. She is always attentive and so sweet!
I just wish they would expand as the restaurant is always jam packed.

Sweetest server ever. Tender ,large steak (man my 10oz had to be 16 easy) . I believe it may have been cooked in butter over an iron skillet- but I didn't think to ask at the time. Just didn't have that seared open flame taste;but oh so moist. So I had the steak and shrimp , and the shrimp were fried with a tasty crust but were along the size of poorboy fare. Lots of them though. The baked potato was a medium size and I would've preferred real butter. My husband had one of the pasta dishes in the large size. He liked it and thought it would have been even better with capers. An adult man would need the large size for a meal. The building itself was once a gas station many years ago , I found out through inquiry of the server. There were 2 tvs on the walls ,one tuned to the news and the other classic cartoons. A darker cool room thanks to the porch out front.
