Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I went to the Hueytown location today as I had some time to spare as a busy social worker. I've ordered DoorDash from the Hoover location a few times and it has always been good. I was the only car in the drive thru, maybe 2 customers in the store, and one other car behind me. They guy that took my order was friendly. I ordered a green island smoothie and a regular acai bowl. I pull up to the drive through window with my card ready (I worked at Jim N' Nick's BBQ in high school and some after college) so I'm fully aware of drive-thru etiquette. The guy that took my order appeared to be working, helping one of the inside customers. There were 3 to 4 employees just standing around talking and no one greeted me for several minutes. Once the only guy I observed working greeted me, I let him know about the horrible customer service as evidenced by no one greeting me when I saw them standing around talking and that he was the only one I observed working. I made sure he was aware that I saw him working and he was not a part of my complaint. I let him know that it wasn't his faul. That location needs to do A LOT better with customer service! I will likely order from the Hoover location again, but not anytime soon.

Absolutely love me some Tropical Smoothie Cafe! Every single employee there have always been super nice & friendly! Gotta give props to their manager, Randall!! Super cool guy with a great attitude!!! ALWAYS!

First time visiting, the guy running the drive thru was super cool. Was patient, recommended smoothies based upon our liking. Very pleasant experience.

I love the smoothies! Salads and sandwiches portions are very little portions.... Very skimpy on the meat, almost empty! Won't buy anymore food items! Smoothies great and sugar can be substituted for Splenda, stevia and equal!

First time inside and I did not expect the hamburger aroma wafting toward me entering the spot.
Its sweltering today and I'd love to try a smoothie.

Narrowed it down to Pomegranite Plunge and Tropical Dragon Passion. I chose the Tropical Dragon Passion.
It is refreshing and tasty. Not actually a smoothie person. Feels like I spent $10 on a slurpee/ icee.
Each table was sticky. Front counter dirty too. I asked for a warm soapy cloth and wiped it myself. I saw three employees; on register, blending beverages and not too sure on the third.
Will try the food next time.

Very friendly and professional staff, Delicious food and smoothies, I’ve gone here about 15 times in the past month, I’m addicted ! The only negative thing I have to say is the amount of brain freezes I get from drinking drinking these delicious smoothies lol

I went inside on 9/14/2024 to purchase a gift card. There was a young girl behind the counter wiping down around the prep area. She looked at me, never spoke or asked if she could help me. I continued to stand there waiting patiently. She then rinsed the towel out and continued to wipe the counter. She looked at me again and still did not acknowledge me. She then turns around and pushes the cart to the back. So at this point I'm pissed. There was another staff member sitting in the lobby talking on his phone. I asked him was anyone working and he kinda of moved his hand like yea. There was another young lady working the drive thru. She had a line outside. So I decided to just leave. I will not spend my money were I'm not appreciated or acknowledged. These young kids need to be taught some manners and customer service. I'm never going back.???

Love Tropical Smoothie, but this location is the pits. EVERY SINGLE TIME I stop by it takes them 10 minutes or more to hand me my smoothie. And to be the first car in line and asked to pull around and they will bring your SMOOTHIE out is crazy work....?
