Lil' Touch Of Cajun Grill

Service was excellent. I love the atmosphere of the place, but the food was a real let down. The appetizer was done perfectly except that the cheese sticks for a bit cold, but it was a to-go order so you can kind of expect that to some degree. The sauces that came with the appetizer confused me. There was no ranch or marinara for the cheese sticks. There was a mustard based sauce, a sauce with capers in it (possibly tartar sauce... Didn't taste like it though), and a remoulade. It almost seemed like all of the sauces were geared towards the boudin balls, which were pretty good. The potato wedges were nice and hot and cooked just right. So the combo app was actually not too bad. It was just seemed to be missing the appropriate sauces for 2/3 of the appetizer. The real problem that I had and the reason why I gave the low score was the shrimp etouffee. My whole family is from Louisiana. Song from Baton Rouge, some from New Orleans and some from Lafayette, and I have never had etouffee that looked or tasted like that. Firstly, the roux wasn't browned at all. It looks like it was cooked for all of 5 minutes. There was no cayenne pepper flavour. It tasted like a plain veloute with diced tomatoes and room temp rice. The roll was hard. Had I not paid $54 for those two items, I probably wouldn't be writing this review, but I feel like I certainly did not get my money's worth. I don't usually write bad reviews, but I felt like this was something you probably needed to know if you are wanting things to be done right. And I'm not saying it's the cooks fault. Apparently someone taught him or her to make it like this or at least let it fly.

A great small town restaurant! Old style country lunch buffet and great staff. You can also order straight for the menu which has options that look really good. Definitely worth a try when you were in Jackson, Alabama.

This place is a joke ! The food was sour and very over seasoned to the point I got heartburn and almost puked. They charged a gratuity that was included in the bill. I feel like that was out of line. Gratuity is based on service and quality of food. Spent $50 and didnt even get to eat. The biggest disappointment.! Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

Quite atmosphere, great service and great food.

I was looking for a sit down meal after eating fast food for 2 days. I stumbled into this resteraunt on Google and decided to try it. I had the baked potato with shrimp etouffe, absolutely AMAZING! Probably one of the best meals I've ever had. This little hole in the wall resteraunt surprised me with their fabulous service and amazing food. If I'm ever in Jackson Alabama again, I'll eat here.

Needs to be shut down. Gumbo 6weeks old atleast. Etphe is nothing but cheese shrimp and hot sauce over half raw rice. Loaded potatoes has nothing but waxy old stale cheese and artificial bacon bits, prison chef food for sure..hell prison food might be an improvement. Stick to the salad bar if you go. Don't go in thinking it's Cajun food at all. The poor waitress, there's only one. She's working the whole restraunt making only 5dollars and hour. Don't blame her for lack of enthusiasm and know how in kitchen Amazing Waitress!!

I ask for a well done steak a salad a baked potato my steak was burnt and un cooked in the inside my salad was okay didn't get anything to put on my baked potato and I sent $35 on this meal very disappointed

Courtney was our waitress and she was awesome! The food was really good too! Highly recommend the Cajun quesadilla!
