Great local spot. Great service, nice variety of food that is consistently good, accessible for families with needs. Bathroom sometimes smells like the nail salon next door, but overall a great place.

After recently moving to Thomasville and exploring the limited restaurant options in the area, I decided to try out No 1 China restaurant in Jackson during a trip back from Mobile. With a promising 4.5-star rating and being conveniently located just 25 minutes from my house, my expectations were high.Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed that it was bustling with activity, indicating its popularity. The food was served piping hot, and the overall cleanliness of the place was commendable, although the decor seemed a bit outdated. As a connoisseur of Chinese cuisine with experiences from various regions like the California coast, the northwest, and the East Coast, I have encountered a wide range of Chinese food styles. The dishes at No 1 China, while decent, did not quite meet the expectations set by the high rating. For example, the Kung Pao chicken, which I have enjoyed in different styles before, was deep-fried at this restaurant, which may be a stylistic choice but was different from what I expected.Despite the mixed experience, I may give No 1 China another chance in the future due to the limited dining options in the area. However, the initial excitement I had before visiting has somewhat diminished, and I will approach future visits with slightly lower expectations.

Good food but they don't put enough on the buffet to accommodate the lunch crowd and what does manage not to get eaten in a flash is usually on the buffet at least twice as long as it should be. Cold , hard , scraps of food
