Just left this location and it’s about 11:15 am. Both entrances locked and the dining room is dark. No sign on the door, explanation, NOTHING. Pathetic staff at this location every time I go. Never again!

Good place to eat: comfortable, clean, staff is easy to get along with, the food was a good price, and the food was very good tasting. I highly recommend the cheesecake for desert. All their deserts are good but the cheesecake is great.

I drove from Georgia and have been in town for days, I decided to stop here as I’ve stopped at other locations and didn’t receive satisfactory service.I usually don’t do reviews on Fast Food locations as the expectations are usually minimal. However, after my experience at this location I had to leave a review. With that said, let’s talk about service!Known for its service standards, Captain D’s is an establishment that sets a high standard for customer service and employee to consumer satisfaction. Today, I had the opportunity to experience Laquisha and I am convinced that she wrote the book on how to deliver AMAZING Customer Service. Laquisha welcomed us into Captain D’s with an amazing smile, vibrant personality, and organic cheer. As I walked into the establishment she maintained her amazingness throughout taking my order. When my sister began to place her order, Laquisha still displayed customer service awesomeness even during a serious rush. I’m talking about stellar service from an amazing individual. Thank you, Laquisha!!!As we decided to dine-in Laquisha ended up bringing our food to the table and guess what… she was still Awesomeeeeeeeeee. She delivered our food with a smile and thanked us again for coming into Captain D’s!To continue the amazing experience, my food was fresh. Not just regular fresh, but fresh fresh. My Butterfly shrimp tasted fresh annd crisp and were perfectly seasoned and fried. Though Captain D’s food is always good, this was a different kind of good. LoL! satisfactory service…Great Service. Fresh hush puppies , Fresh fries and tartar sauce! What better way to spend your Friday???!!!!The location is spotless. The ambiance is vibrant and the staff at the registers are efficient and conscious of one’s time… To whomever hired them, you deserve a Gold Star. I’ve been coming to this location for quite some time and I must say my last experience was more than fantastic. The food was fresh, the bathrooms and lobby was so clean you could eat off the floor. I could tell there was a new sheriff in town. I met the new manager Laquisha and she was so polite and pleasant. Laquisha keep up the good work and thanks for making my last experience wonderful.

People never came to the window, the order screen didn't work. They were inside laughing and cutting up. They seen us parked at the pickup window, and walked off laughing. Every customer left in the drive-thru. Very disrespectful, very. Poor customer service. I found nothing funny about it. Not that it matters to me I have black friends, but they were black young girls, chatting, cutting up, and playing around, really didn't care about taking any orders. Never had I traveled anywhere and received such disrespect.. My husband slid their order window open a little and ask, was anyone taking orders? A girl came over just to say, sir please keep our window shut, we're just overwhelmed right now, no one inside but them. All lies. Should be fired and replaced, drove up to chik-a-fila got better service and received kindness.

We pulled into the parking lot and the building looked like a dump. It is run down and really needs a redo. We decided to try the food anyway. The inside also looked like it needed many repairs. The food was average and the cashier needed training about items offered on the menu. The service was ok, but nothing special. The drink area was nasty with spills everywhere. I wish Jacksonville would shut places like this down. There is only about two eating places in Jacksonville that is fit to eat.
Workers were amazing and friendly, very helpful. Food was delicious, hot, and cooked through. Excellent.

It’s 10-28-23 and they are short staffed which would be frustrating but the general manager came out and spoke to us personally they are handling this the best way they can and they don’t seem to be afraid to roll up their sleeves and do the hard work to keep it open and serving us delicious food we appreciate the general manager who I did not get her name and we hope that she can find more workers so she can take a day off.

Went about 9:15 tonight 11/4/23 received old cold food, fish old and soggy, butterfly shrimp old and chewy no fresh crunch to anything that I ordered not even the funnel cake sticks… come here all the time, by far the absolute worst experience at this location so far ?????
